Arrived on Saturday 5th after a 3 hour transfer (but with a stop for a beer and a sausage sandwich !!!!). Greeted with a warm friendly welcome by staff even at 11pm. Stayed in Room 7 which was spacious, clean, warm and with views to the mountains. Lady who worked in the dining room was very helpful and alway greeted us with a smile at breakfast and evening meal time).
Ideal hotel for young family on a budget skiing holiday. TIP - Use the local shop around the corner for very cheap beer 0.95Lev (40p per large bottle). Sauna available free of charge for 40 mins very welcome after a long day on the slopes. This type of hotel is away from the noise of the resort with just a short 15 minute walk to the main shops / bars. Will be going back again in 2014 and recommend to anybody. Skiing was excellent, slopes for beginners and intermediate varied (even easy runs had some steep slopes so ensure you are prepared if this is your first time). The ski road back to Bansko is perfect for ending the day. The mini bus back to the hotel will always be there to pick you up at the alloted time. ENJOY !!!!!!

Room Tip: Some rooms have a bath, others only a shower.

We were the other group staying in the hotel over the Christmas week.
11 of us beginner/ intermediate ability skiers.

Very helpful staff, one of my sons friends had a birthday on Boxing day, they gave him a large birthday cake, nice gesture.
English Tea, beer, water cake, toasties all excellent value in the hotel and nice after a days skiing.
There was a good selection of drinks available at very good prices in the evening.
We had a 3 course main meal, a soup with bread, croutons, a choice of main meal, and a simple pudding.Wine or juice included.
Meals were varied and I would class as simplistic but good quality
Portions possibly slightly small for growing teenage stomach's.
Breakfast was a cooked breakfast, and or cerial, fruit, toast and a cake bar, all very good but could do with varying the cooked breakfast a little more,
Beans every morning could have been changed for tomatoes for instance one day.
As mentioned staff couldn't be more helpful if they tried, good English speaking.

Rooms warm clean with various options available, ie: some with balconies, lounges, some rooms with baths etc.
Our mattress for me was a little on the soft side, but I'm fussy here.
We had room with a bath, fantastic, plenty of hot water to soak in.

This hotel is situated in the old town, the old town is traditional and so all use log burners to warm their houses in winter.
Nice smell when you arrive, probably had enough by the time I left.

Transport to gondala was provided there and back, excellent even when our kids came back late one day, there was no problem they were happy to picked them up.

Would I go back to this hotel.......definitely

Thanks Bisev a great week

We have just returned from a weeks holiday skiing in Bulgaria. We were a group of 10 - two families and had 4 en-suite rooms between us at the hotel Bisev. The hotel and all the rooms were clean, warm and spacious. The staff that we met were very helpful and friendly - a special thank you to our waitress who was very attentive! As the hotel has only 10 rooms we quickly felt at home. It is located away from any noisy pubs etc. A short 5 min walk took you to the prettier old part of town, but the ski area was 20 minutes walk away. However, the hotel had a minibus that ferried us to the bottom of the gondola every morning and collected us every day which was very convenient. The staff made a big effort with our meal on Christmas Day and we had a lovely time. The food at breakfast and the evening were fairly straight forward and filling, but not always to everyone's taste, although there was always a choice of 3 main courses in the evening. I would recommend this hotel to people who are looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly hotel that is good value for money. The snow conditions were good and we had no problems with gondola or lift queues on the slopes, which had been a concern based on other reviews we had read. All the slopes were open except one and we had ample skiing for our range of abilities from beginners to intermediates. Some of us had ski lessons and the ski instructor that we had was great and spoke good English.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 have beds on a mezzanine floor and a mini lounge and bathroom underneath so feel spaci...

We stayed at the Bisev in March 2012 and had a great time. The room we had was warm,. comfortable and clean. The meals were beter than we've had in other Bulgarian hotels, with a cooked breakfast each day and choice of mains each evening with a glass of wine as well.
The staff were very helpfull and friendly. A free shuttle bus to & from the ski area was part of the service. As the hotel is only small ( 9 rooms ) an all Brits we all soon got to know each other
and so ended up having a few good laughs.
We will most likely go back sometime soon

We were exceptionally lucky and had about 2 foot snow, making sking brilliant, from beginners to expert, this resort is well sorted for all sking levels, a much bigger resort than expected, (previous experience Pamporovo 4 years previous) only our second time sking, we had a great time, we stayed in the excellent run small hotel Bisev, very friendy staff, free 5 miniute ride to the Ski Centre, at 8.15am 8.30am and 9.00am, we were on the lift by about 8.40 by the time youve got your ski's on, and were surprised that we only had to wait for about 20 minutes at most before we got onto the ski lift, (which was better than expected as we had read that it could be a nightmare) but this was never the case all week. met out ski instructor at 10.00am Tisho, then free lift back to hotel at 4.00pm, 4.30pm and 5.00pm. Dinner was at 6.30 pm till 8.00pm which consisted of home made soup, a main meal (homemade) and desert all very nice and filling, with a free glass of red wine, lovely. In the evening we didnt go out as we were too knackered but the town was only 5 minute walk away, we spent the evening playing pool, relaxing in the sauna, or just chilling watching tv in our room, we had a wet room ensuite with hairdryer, beds were clean and comfy, we would definately recommend this resort and hotel.

Stayed in the Hotel Bisev week of 14/01/2012. I would not change a thing about this hotel, i have stayed in many different hotels in many different countries and i can honestly say that this beats all of them hands down. The staff can not do enough for you ,your room is cleaned every day, to the standard of when you first walk in and the food is great. It is a short walk into the town centre or a 5 lev taxi ride, dont ask the taxi driver how much or he will say 10 lev because he knows you dont know how much a taxi costs, just give him 5 lev and he will be happy. There is transport from the hotel to the slopes every morning and evening. Beer is also cheap in the hotel bar with a small games room to the side.Snowboarding was great although it didnt snow until the last day, well done Bisev ten out of ten see you next year.
