Mr Singhs Curryoke
Cuisines: Indian
Description: Mr Singhs Curryoke restaurant is situated in the Lion hotel on the basement floor. Offering authentic indian and European cuisine. They play all live sporting events from 5 large screens and have entertainment every evening, hosted by their resident British entertainer. They offer promotions on food and drink. Its a great evening out and should be tried at while in Bansko.

“Spice, YAY!!”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

I was surprised at the authenticity and amount of spice I was able to get in this place. I'd do it again for sure, and not just because it's my only option for curry. The only down side was the atmosphere, half bar, half club, half basement.

“Good curry house”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Mr Singh's.... about a 4 minute walk off Pirin Street, take a left at the traffic lights before you get up to the gondola.

We fancied a Curry whilst away, and this hit the spot, Just as good as a curry back home in Wales.

Portions not as big as other places in Bansko the taste is there.

The bill is put on your table from the start which is a bit strange, and a new receipt is added if you add more food or drinks to the bill the running total does show which is ok.

10% tip given :-)

“Good choice of dishes, reasonable prices”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Tasty, but mildly spiced compared with food at home. Prices were reasonable but not cheap by Bansko standards.

“Does takeaway and delivery - +359 885 85 75 70”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

I love Indian food and this is as good as it gets in Bansko. It's not perfect but if you enjoy a bit of variety in your diet you are very likely to get bored with all the Copycat Mehanas. I like a Shopska salad as much as the next person but there's only so many I can eat and the identikit menus wear a bit thin by the end of the week (no pun).

And that's where Mr Singh's comes in handy. They serve up spicy, different food in a pleasant enough environment. They even do takeaways and delivery. Staff speak English very well and are informed about allergies and food preferences. I am a gluten-free vegetarian and I still had plenty of options.

We ordered a vegetarian balti (not bad) dahl (a little too runny, but tasty), a vegetable biryani (rice undercooked and slightly crunchy) with poppadoms, dips and two alcoholic drinks. The bill came to around BGN 60. Not cheap, but not bad either.

Go if you just need a break from the same sameness that Bansko's restaurants offer. Don't go if you plan on comparing Bansko with Brick Lane.

I included the phone number in my headline because I couldn't find it anywhere online.

We enjoyed the food, which was excellent (a very interesting menu!). Good price and not too expensive, with the in-house music creating an everlasting memory.
