Fantastic park, complete with many old buildings from the Civil War. They have both a walking tour and a driving tour - a lot to see and do. There is also a small museum with uniforms and weapons inside the main building with a small gift shop.

Pack a lunch and take the family out to see history. Good for the kids to learn for the kids to learn first hand and see what soldiers went through. Great place for a day trip. No cost, donations accepted.

Lots of area to walk around. There is a museum, information plaques along the way, and a handful of buildings.

Prairie Grove Arkansas was an important battle of the Civil War. The park is small and compacted, but wonderful. Nicely kept, but could have a little description on the movements of the armies. Because of the closeness to Fayetteville and the drastic increase of population in the area the park is becoming an oasis in the middle of town. Any expansion of the park is about to become impossible because of very expensive houses. The park has period houses and the main attraction of the Borden house where the most serious fighting occured is a great draw. There is a drive thru road which circles the battlefield and you can get an excellent view as to what both armies saw in 1862. A visitor center and museum displays some of the artifacts and describes the battle. The Rangers are most helpful and will explain anything you may want to know. To follow the war in the order it was fought it would be best to go to Pea Ridge first and then back to Prairie Grove. This park has improved over the years and I look for it to improve further if houses don't move too close.
