The staff is very friendly and helpful, no matter what you need, they will help you. The cleanliness in the rooms is spotless, we were impressed. The location is beautiful, but you need a taxi to move around. Rooms are nice, a little small but good value for the money. Good water sports and swimming pool. Good food at the buffet. We recommend this hotel 100%.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are bigger but more expensive.

We so enjoyed our holiday at the Calodyne Sur Mer. The staff go the extra mile to make you so welcome, and helped us in organising our trips around the island. The food was very good and we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the busier and more commercial parts of the island.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the pool and gardens are very nice. They have very nice large family units with full kitchens as well.

Our family felt that they were not in a hotel but in our own house. Sur Mer offered nice food, pleasant stay, courteous staff and excellent attention by its Manager, Mr Robin. Above all, the bluish green sea water and the little beach of the hotel made us forget our home for some time. The hotel offers the best value for the money spent.

Room Tip: Rooms nearer the restaurant are quieter and comfortable.

We had visited Calodyne Sur Mer for our honeymoon during Aug 13-19, 2012. The resort is little far from airport (had to travel from south to north) but an ideal place for honeymoon couple as it offers privacy, less populated and personal attention by the staff. The front office manager Robin and especially Estella provided excellent customer care and always there whenever we need any help. The bar staff namely Manish (he resembles Antonio Banderas) is fabulous person and made our visits special. Chef Sahil also was a great help during dining. Special mention goes to Kingston and Dennis for their entertaining interactions with guests and games. We always looked forward to dance to Dennis and Kingston's amazing DJ every evening during our stay. The dare daredevilry fire act of Kingston & team is and amazing treat to watch.

Suggestion : Since this place is also frequented by Indians, wish there is a french orientation session (imp words and sentences) on day of arrival. It will help understanding Mauritius better. It can be a fun filled session.

Add more team games to involve the guests. Non french speaking guests sometimes feel lost when the conversation of the host are in french.

The foreign exchange charge of this resort is expensive compared to airport. The resort should provide competitive price to facilitate the guests.

There is an excellent super market near the resort (Basin Sunrise i guess), wherein guests can buy all essential stuff like water etc. Wish the resort staff or front desk inform the guests,

Room Tip: We stayed in 119 which dont have a bath tub. We were promised of a superior room but didnt get this. I have learnt Room No.115 is good as it is near the sea.

I have been to Calodyne for one week in August 2012. the hotel is designed in a way that it never look like a hotel it looks like a bungalow. The stay was pleasant. water activities were also descent.
For the price it was a fair deal.
For non veg people menu is too good for vegetarian people not much option :(
Overall its a nice place and no doubts I got the value for my money :)

Room Tip: Rooms around swimming pool and beach sides are worth.
