The room is pretty big and the beds are comfy but the room is not very clean, the bathroom had lots of ants in it , there is no scooter to rent so we were a little stuck in the hotel and there is no restaurant around so we were a little forced to eat in their restaurant, and honestly it is not good at all.
The staff is kind but the price is too high for what the bungalow is.

We took it easy and stayed for two nights for our hike up to Mt. Batur. The Bungalow was simple in its provisions, yet clean anf tidy. Right, the bathroom/shower could use a makeover, but again, it was old but clean. The bed was comfy, and there were no bugs nor other little creepers around. The whole outside/garden is well kept and nice, we enjoyed sitting on the porch, overviewing the lake. Service was good as well, bottled water every day as well as fresh towels. We were asked if we wanted the room cleaned. WiFi is there, although our bungalow was at the edge of it, but still; in the dining area, which was open all day, WiFi was good.
Breakfast (included) was simple but good, and so was dinner (I advice going for Mi Goreng!). The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, willing to help with any kind of problem.
Taking into account that this could not be Hilton Hotel-like, I really can recommend this place (consider booking your hike to Mt Batur with the owner, if you haven’t booked elsewhere yet; he is a really great guy).
We enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed here for 1 night to see the lake and mount batur.. the accommodation is very clean and bed is very comfortable... great restaurant serving a small selection of meals all of which were fresh and tasty... great breakfast.. 10 out of 10 we would definitely come back here... also the owner arranged our taxi to ubud and sunrise trip to the caldera which was fabulous!!! Mount Batur was surrounded by cloud so we were so happy we chose to do this instead of climbing the mountain.. we saw mount Agung and great views of mount Rinjani on lombok and the lake...

The room we had was fitted out with a modern recently renovated bathroom, bedroom and a small sitting room. On the property is a restaurant for dinner as well as breakfast included. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming and there was a lady roaming the property giving massages in-room. Great views from all round and cozy bed. Thanks!

Mapa Lake View Bungalow is situated just at the bottom of Mt Batur which makes it very ideal place to commit for the Mt Batur sunrise trek and tour in the very early morning starts early at 0400 am. The suite with a good view of the lake and friendly service by the owner almost relieves your stress away and recharges your body for the next morning arduous trek.

The hotel owner introduced to my trekking guide Mr. Igede Sentana who was very friendly and informative on the Mt Batur volcano inside out. During this 4 hrs trek, we walked close to the craters that were active during 2003. Mr. Sentana witty jokes and amusing tales made our walk even more comfortable with plenty of rest in-between.
