We stayed a night in a 2 bedroom cabin with my in-laws. The bed was squeaky and not as comfortable as other state parks, and the cabin a little sparse, but clean. The views are unbelieveable, especially when you realize that you're in Arkansas! next time we'll try staying in the lodge.

A beautiful park and lodge to visit any time of the year, but especially in the spring and autumn months! We just completed a week long circuit of leaf peeping in Arkansas with a night in the lodge for total relaxation before heading back home. Recommend room 102 for the convenient location of the room, the beautiful view from its balcony, and wonderful in-room jacuzzi. The on site restaurant serves good hearty food, and their breakfast buffet does not disappoint. And the VIEWS from the lodge, including the restaurant, are very nice!

The park's trails and overlooks are nice, and the cycling lane is a great touch for anyone to enjoy bicycling in a safe environment. If you left yours at home, you can actually rent a "comfort bike" at the lodge.

Overall, the park and lodge is a definite MUST SEE for anyone in Arkansas - whether resident or visitor passing through.

We loved visiting this park. Beautiful scenery and so many different options to hike and sight see. The trails are marked well and lead to some beautiful views. The park is very well maintained. Visitors are able to get away from the noise and congestion of city living.

I have been to Mt. Magazine several times in the fall and always love the beautiful scenic vistas from the lodge. You don't have to stay at the lodge to enjoy their scenery and delicious restaurant. Most recently I had the tri tip steak and it melted in my mouth!

If you live in or visit Arkansas you are missing out if you don't take advantage of the best resource that Arkansas has to offer and that is their natural attractions. Mount Magazine State Park is definitely a jewel glittering on the the landscape of this state. The views are spectacular, the lodge is beautiful, and the hiking is invigorating. I would recommend this destination to anyone who needs to get away and unwind.
