We stayed here two separate nights over Easter 2005. Via priceline we got the room each time for $51 ($65 including tax). Like another reviewer yes it is a longer walk than you'd expect from reception to your room, passing by the banquet and meeting rooms. If you have a vehicle you can drive around the hotel and park closer to your room. The middle entrances only have access to second floor rooms via elevator, the stairs are in the corners of the hotel.

The location is excellent, right next to the river, overlooking Little Rock. There are two bridges, one on either side of the hotel that take you right downtown, probably a lot closer to downtown than some of the Little Rock hotels. On the North Little Rock side, in the vicinity of the hotel, aren't any noticeable attractions, other than the events stadium being walking distance from the hotel.

The rooms were airy and the showers the best I have had anywhere. They use a semicircular shower rod so it 'expands' the space in the shower/bath and there's no chance of a cold wet shower curtain sticking to you.

The fridge vending system is unusual and there's no chance of putting your own items in the fridge to keep them cool. There's also an in-room safe that you can put your laptop into.

I stayed in an "Executive King Room" for 3 nights and was quite pleased. The room was very nicely decorated and had a sitting area with sofa. I am extremely sensitive to outside noises, but never heard anything during my stay that woke me up or disturbed me in any way. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel has a courtesy shuttle to and from the airport but they were so flexible, they even picked me up from another part of town one evening because I was unable to get a taxi back to the hotel without a long wait. The bar in the hotel closes at 11:00pm, and there really isn't any nightlife within walking distance so be prepared to drive or take a taxi for 1 or 2 miles if you like to stay out later than this. I did not really care for the combination mini-bar/safe in the room as you cannot remove items for inspection without immediately being charged. I pulled out a bottle of water just to get a closer look and received a $1.95 charge even though I put it back without opening. Of course, the front desk removed the charge without question when I told them what happened, but still it was a nuisance that I had to deal with. I also don't appreciate hotels that charge a fee for use of a safe in the room. The only thing I found odd about the public spaces was that when you walk from the lobby to your room, you must pass through the convention/ballroom area which, at most hotels, is set off to the side somewhere - not placed directly between the front lobby and the guest rooms as it is here. Overall though, I was very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely stay again if the price continues to beat their competition.
