Good root beer, not as good as A and W but it is up there. Good variety of food for a drive in. Friendly and fast service. Clean eating area always.

If you are an Arkansan reading this, it will mean more to you. If not, then just trust me. I grew up in this state. I've heard every opinion about where to find the best burger. As a teenager in the 80's, everyone knew that Feltner's Whataburger in Russellville was the place to stop, especially on the way to a Razorback game on the Hill. But since the turn of the century, you need to go to the other side of the interstate in Russellville and stop at CJ's for the best burger (although I think there are two locations now). While we love a stop at CJ's, those in Central Arkansas might not always want to make the trek north just for a burger. I'm still open to new possibilities, but Frostop's burger is equal to and is often better even than CJ's. Frostop has a big, juicy patty set on a buttered, warm and toasted just right bun. Perfect hand cut fries too. Plus you can get a real frosty mug of root beer. Something the other places can't offer. Sure you can try the new chain from the east coast that's in town and it is good, but Frostop is great. We've never had a bad burger or even an average one. You won't get friendlier service either. Stop by a time or two and don't be surprised if you're recognized and welcomed as a friend the next time. There are other things on the menu besides burgers, although we've never tried them. If they're half as good as the burgers, then they might be worth a shot. But the number one thing on our "to do" list is to try the milkshakes. People go on and on about them, and the number of combinations is impressive. It's a small place with a few chairs and tables outside on the crowded strip center sidewalk. You can buy a cheap rug next door or get your hair styled at the salon close by. There's a small TV inside to occupy the kids who probably inhaled their food while you savor every last bite. Be ready to fork over a little extra money for a burger, fries and drink than you would at the fast food drive-thru. The kids may even want to split a combo meal instead of going with the expensive kid's meals. The juicy burger, hot fries and ice cold root beer make it worth the splurge.
