Stayed overnight due to a layover. 10-15 minutes from Airport. Nice Location. They gave me a King bedroom- nice big bed, AC, plenty shampoo, shower gel & lotion, soap. Breakfast was OK. Overall, it was great for an overnight rest. Apart from one guy who came to check my TV, rest could use a bit of smile:) but the staff were all very nice & respectful.

The staff of Al Bahjah made a great effort to provide a western standard stay in an Arab country during Romadon. They provided English newspapers, English TV channels on a flat screen TV, and a generous, free western breakfast served in the room. They had a little trouble with their paperwork but managed it. The desk was not always manned but the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The hotel is located near the sea but on the other side of the airport from the old city and city center. It is a delightful little fishing village but ar away from normal tourist attractions. I would stay there again if the location were better.

Room Tip: Don't come during Romadon or during the very hot summer.

This is a very basic hotel mainly used by Omani people who drink some alcohol in the bar and then stay in the hotel for the rest of the night. The owners of the hotel are Indians so they have an alcohol license for their restaurant and bar. We were lucky to get a large 2 room suite instead of the normal room we booked. The suite we got was very large but also basic. Every floor has only one suite so they are all situated behind the elevators. After reading some reviews we were anxious about the noise from the elevator but this was not an issue.

When you book this hotel you should be careful. About 30% of the rooms are inside the building which means these rooms don’t have windows at all. The restaurant served reasonable food for a quite high price. Maybe because of all the drinking Omani’s the restaurant had no windows so it was very dark whole day. They also serve breakfast in this restaurant, which was ok but nothing special.

We didn’t mind about the simple hotel because it was very nice to be in the middle of an Omani village like Seeb. You will see very few tourists so this town gives you a good impression about real Omani life. We were visiting the fish market which is held on the beach every morning. This was a great experience with very friendly people all around.

The GPS coordinates shown on Google earth and Booking.com are wrong. The right coordinates are: 23.67937, 58.187861

Hotels are very expensive in Oman. So for the price we paid (51,00 Euro per night) this was a good stay.

I would not stay here again. Even for a budget hotel it was disappointing. The main problem was the noise coming much of the night from what seemed to be a nightclub in the building. I was woken up several times by music, yelling and the sound of engines. The room was passable but not appealing. Likewise with the breakfast, except that it was free. Service was okay, though once I asked them to deliver something asap, which they said they would do, but by the time I had left for the day it had not come. The internet did not work while I was there.

A very unique experience...The hotel was very reasonably priced. The suite Rm 215 consisted of four rooms; bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and small kitchen with only refrigerator and counter space. It did have a slight smell which bothered my wife. It is an older hotel. It is located in the heart of the Souq or local market. It is several blocks from the beach which is mostly used for parking local fishing boats and not used by tourist. Very few tourist in this area. A nice way to meet the very friendly locals. It was a nice visit and recommend it to those that are looking for culture and good inexpensive place.
