A great ride to the lower part of the Canyon providing great views of the area. Well worth the cost and the trip. A worthwhile experience.

Close on Mondays. Spectacular view of CopperCanyon, allways in time. One of the largest in the world, Swiss technology. The restaurante however not very good. Poor quality of food and do not share internet. Leaves every half hour.

I have mixed feelings about this "attraction" because it is a scar on the landscape. The ugly bases can be seen from all around the rim and contribute to the environmental degradation of the canyon.

Given that the facility is there, however, there is no question that the trip is super and well worth doing. Great views. As usual, however, there is no information at the top (or in the particularly useless new Lonely Planet guide -- I am increasingly thinking TripAdvisor is a much better way to get good information from fellow travelers!) about what do do at the base, and many people think there is only a viewing platform. In fact ,there are extensive scenic hiking trails, cave paintings, and a village to see with local guides to take you there at low cost. I did not have time to do these things because I was due to take the train out that day -- with better information I would have planned to stay down far longer and recommend this if you are up for walking and exploring!

The gandola had plenty of glass around and could get really good views of the area. The stop was well set out too, even had a shop on the edge of a cliff.
