We love the area where the Cave is located, it is a small town Arkansas called Mountain View which is very beautiful in the Fall with all the foliage colors. The cave itself is merely 11 miles north of town. We took the short (1 hour) tour, went down 22 stories underground, the cave is huge. The "roof" in some places are 60-70FT high, and between the 2 main chambers, it could accommodate 3 football fields. What's neat about this cave is that it is a "living" cave, it is still active as far as formations, such as the stalactites, stalagmites, etc. The drip stone cave tour takes place on pavement the entire way so it is easy to take a stroller to (our youngest is 1 yr old). The lighting is incredible, and the forest ranger is very knowledgeable. We had a great time. Afterwards, we spent several hours touring the nearby town of Mountain View doing sight-seeing.
