I recently went here with a business colleague. I am used to having really good mexican food being from Texas. El Chico didn't disappoint. Fairly authentic in my opinion. The blanco queso was good for a starter. I went with the 3 taco dinner and had 1 brisket and 2 beef fajita. The beef fajita were by far the better. Beans were good and the rice was average. Not home, but a nice alternative when away.

Great Margaritas...food not so much. The manager kept coming around and talking to everyone. I saw him way more than our waitress.

We were in town shopping and decided to go out to eat. Decided to try El Chico's since there always seems to be a lot of people there. Facility is nice enough and the staff are friendly and courteous. However, the food was absolutely terrible. Two of the dinners arrived just barely warm, the other two dinners were never even hot enough to melt the cheese inside the item ordered, and the childs plate had french fries that tasted like fish. None of the plates themselves were even hot. I don't think I have ever eaten such a poor meal. One of our party said his dinner was hideous. We won't ever go back.
