We stayed at the resort on Valentine's weekend. The rooms were very clean updated and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is very family oriented and the food at the restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend this resort to couples and family!

I cannot begin to say what a wonderful day February 14, 2014 was. We had a small, private ceremony at Micha's Point on the expansive Mountain Harbor property. The intimate gazebo is right on the lake and the scene couldn't have been more perfect. We made arrangements with Ashley, the events coordinator. The way we were treated you would have thought we were having a large wedding and reception. She helped with every detail, returned calls promptly, answered questions, made suggestions and more. We had rented a secluded cabin about an hour away for our honeymoon but the cabins at Mount Ida are beautiful, We know this because Ashely arranged for us to borrow a cabin near Micha's Point to change into our wedding clothes and the place was gorgeous. Such hospitality and consideration of our 3 hour trip to Mt. Ida. For our wedding dinner we made reservations to attend Mt. Harbor's popular Valentine's Dinner. What a surprise. The little restaurant and surroundings was transformed into a romantic dinner scene. The waitstaff and service were top notch and very attentive. The folks here really want to please and they do. The meal consisted of Shrimp Cocktail, Prime Rib, Crab Legs, Rosemary Potatoes, Rolls, Salad and a multi item dessert. The salad was greens, strawberry vinaigrette with strawberries, candied pecans and goat cheese, delish. The rest of the meal was wonderful. The shrimp were splendid and my husband should know because he's from South Louisiana. We loved the desserts, chocolate mousse (my favorite!), cheesecake, strawberries and ice cream. The whole day was a perfect! This place and these people know how to treat their guests. We'll be back soon!

First of all.....Congratulations on your beautiful, romantic wedding at Harbor! We loved having you here! And, thank you for your wonderful comments about Ashley and our Romantic Valentine Dinner, too! Valentines Weekend is such a special time at Harbor. We prepare for a month to hang all the lights and decorations and plan the menu and put together the special romance packages and finalize all the details. It's truly worth it all when we have the opportunity to hear back from our guests about how much they enjoyed everything. We're holding you to your promise to come back and see us now!

We stayed at Mountain Harbor (off season) three nights with 6 adults and five kids in C24. The cabin was awesome! The facilities are clean and well-maintained. We loved the lake view and deck jacuzzi! We had plenty of room for everyone. The staff was very accommodating!
We will definitely be back!!

Mountain Harbor is simply great ... I was a part of a group of 40+ for a business meeting not one negative comment from anyone in our group. Enjoyed a house boat trip and cook out on the lake, both could not been better ... the house boat, sevice and food what a real treat for all of us.

Enjoyed our room, the deck and view ... the morning breakfast was one of the best I have had as was the service.

REALLY looking forward to my next visit ... At Mountain Harbor "they" do every thing right !!!

The facilities are fabulous. We were there two nights for our daughters wedding. We stayed in one of the large condos, 80B, and had 7 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space for all. My husband and I loved our downstairs master suite. We reserved vangilder lodge for the girls in the wedding party and it was the perfect choice. Special thank you to Adrian for seeing to all of our little emergencies and having exactly what we needed and had forgotten to bring. Will definitely go back!

Room Tip: 80B has 4 levels. Even though the flights of stairs are short, it could still be an issue for anyone...

My husband and I stayed here two nights during a week-long autumn vacation in Arkansas the last week of October. We read about Mountain Harbor Resort while staying in Hot Springs and made reservations for the very next day. It sits right on Lake Ouachita. We arrived on a Monday and found the place easily. I The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in a Lakeview guestroom which had its own private patio with a beautiful view looking down the the hill at one of the private marinas and the gorgeous lake beyond. The room was super comfortable and beautifully outfitted with plush carpets, a nice leather couch, two comfortable queen size beds, flat panel TV, as well as a mini fridge in the room, a microwave and a coffee maker. There was also a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. We ate in the lodge restaurant for dinner both nights and our meals were excellent and the prices very reasonable. The atmosphere in the main lodge where the registration and restaurant was, was also very cozy and welcoming. The staff were all very nice. While we didn't take advantage of it, there was also a horseback riding stable on the grounds, as well as a tennis court, volleyball court and horseshoes. Other services offered were boat rentals, kayak rentals, fishing guides for full or half-day, etc. We walked the grounds, watched the boats come and go and enjoyed the autumn leaves and the cool weather. We highly recommend this place and plan to go back!

Room Tip: For the best rates, ask about any specials they may have at the moment. We got an excellent deal. Al...

Just got back from our sons wedding October 26. Stayed 2 nights at the Vanguilders lodge. Overall it was Fantastic. A special thanks to Adrian and everyone else that took care of us. Even though the weather was rainy, Adrian and her staff made sure East Cove Pavillion was set up to perfection. Thank you so much for making this a very special event to remember. Oh yes. The Vanguilder lodge was more than we expected. Thank you again. We will definitely be back
