We stayed at Silverstream 6th & 7th March 2014 as a retreat for my daughter & bridesmaids & myself to get ready for her wedding at Cossars (in Tai Tapu). The service Kathy & Grant gave us was beyond our expectations and thanks to them everything was taken care of, it felt like a home away from home, which certainly helped the nerves on the day. Dinner & breakfast was all taken care of and was delicious - especially Grant's scones! My husband and another couple stayed on the night of the wedding, again, everything was taken care of along with an excellent breakfast.
Once again thanks Kathy & Grant for your hospitality.

Thank you Grant for as wonderful stop over night. We would have loved to stay a few more days but time would not allow. Arriving at 10.30ish was no problem, well that's the impression you gave, so thank you.
Fantastic service, wonderful accommodation, and a great host. What else could one want for.
just as well we had Google Maps otherwise we may have missed a - 'not to be missed visit'.
Thank you once again.

We recently invaded Grant and Kathy's beautiful home for a family wedding. They could not have been more accommodating and we had fabulous stay in their beautiful home. Grant even made date scones for breakfast. Sadly, they are a favourite of Rosa - one of the gorgeous resident dogs, so we only had one to share!!! Thank you for a memorable stay shared by our family from Aus and SA

This is a luxurious B&B, with a welcoming hostess and a rural location and with reasonable access to |Christchurch. Our twin-bedded room was a good size with comfortable beds and we were pleased to have a sitting room to relax in. Breakfast was very good, with a cooked meal offered. The only drawback for us was that we were kept awake by the peacocks which don't get quiet with nightfall.

My family and I travel widely, including Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and this was one of our best accommodation experiences. Grant and Kathy Gillatt are wonderful hosts who made us feel part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed, with balconies overlooking the gardens. Excellent breakfast included in the package. Lovely country environment with a river (and canoes, if you feel like a paddle). So much better than staying in a conventional hotel.
