Description: Enjoy a delicious meal in the rustic warmth of Mather Lodge's main dining room. Large windows frame the view of rugged Cedar Creek Canyon, scenery highlighted each evening by a dramatic sunset. A meeting room (50-person capacity) that can also accommodate small banquets is nearby. This recently renovated portion of Mather Lodge mirrors the 1930s Adirondack-style architecture of the original portions of this historic treasure that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and expanded by the Works Progress Administration. The main dining room seats up to 104 persons. The restaurant is open daily.

Thank you for the best seat in the house & great food, perfectly cooked, & served up with a smile! We rarely go out & find food that is as good a quality, & as flavorful as what we can do up at home - the curse of living with a natural-born chef & beef specialist. Most of the time dinner out ends up being a disappointment. Not this time! Thanks again !

We were on petite Jean mountain at the lodge for lunch in a large group. Service was excellent. The view up the canyon made for arelaxing feeling. The food was fantastic.. the reuben sandwich's were killer. Patty melts were great. Salad Bar was fresh and well tended to. The lodge itself after the makeover is over the top. For anyone that has not ever been. If your in the area it's a must stop and take it in.

- you go there for this fabolous view! Even on a rainy day, the location of the dining room is just great. Service is working hard to accommodate everyone and always friendly.
The food is average and prices are very fair (especially considering there is no alternative).
So all in all, I strongly recommend visiting and having meals here!

Thank dkbe

What a wonderful million dollar (tax payers) facility. To bad your management skills of such an awesome facility are so lacking in every area. From the service staff whom appear disgruntled to even be at work to the restaurant manager ( I specifically asked her title) who looks as if she is ready to fire the entire staff if anyone bothers her with just one more customer complaint. And complaints were plenty the nights we visited. Overcooked food undercooked food, some service, no service, a long wait an extremely long wait..

Overall, the restaurant is a Grand place with spectacular views and state of the art carpentry work. However, I am of the opinion, the ADPT should stick to managing parks and get out of the
restaurant business. What a shame to have spent that much of the tax payers revenue and not know how to return the investment with simple customer service and quality food.

After a long hike, there is NOTHING better than a hot meal. Go to the Mather Lodge. The food is good, but the views are spectacular. Sit by the window and watch as hawks and other birds catch thermals and just drift and drift in the air. No alcohol is served, but you can skip the beer for once. The servers are super nice and friendly. It's a great place to rest your weary bones.
