Very plain rooms, uninterested staff, construction works still ongoing, large but uninspiring rooms. Breakfast was ridiculous, set in a depressing room, with a choice between toast or nasi goreng, and lukewarm coffee to go with it. There was a great rainstorm at night when we stayed there and the result was that our hallway was flooded and water ran under the doors of our rooms; backpacks were soaked etc. We were travelling with friends and had a total of 4 rooms; staff was unable or unwilling to give us another room so we ended up abandoning 1 room because the smell was unbearable and redistributed our group over the remaining 3 rooms. In sum, the only reason to go here is a lack of alternatives (I have no view on the other accommodations in Sengkang but clearly there aren't many).

Deluxe room was clean & spacious although a previous guest had left a shirt in the wardrobe. The air conditioner dripped water onto the floor turning it into a skating rink. Bathroom was also spacious, however, the water appeared to be untreated. There was a small slightly murky pool in the centre of the hotel. Breakfast was simple nasi goreng and an egg. Due to limited places to eat our guide took us to a local restaurant where we were the only guests apart from takeaway customers.
Hotel was essentially the only option in order to visit the floating village on the lake with numerous birds.

This is a very basic hotel in the city of Sengkang. Probably one of the better in the city. Don't expect too much. Just a basic room with airco.
Sengkang is a city with very few services. It took us quite some trouble to find a place to eat.
The Lake Tempe is wonderful: hundreds of birds, funny fishing boats and a great sunset.

This hotel in Sengkang is new. It has a small pool. It is in a backstreet and maybe difficult to find. Breakfast was very simple (only nasi goreng) but good. Lake Tempe is wonderful, especcially for birdwatchers. Our guide stayed in a cheaper hotel in Sengkang and was eaten by bedbugs.

Chose to return from Torajaland via Senkang so as to break up the very long drive back to Makasar. The hotel is really a very budget oriented place and members of my group simply accepted the budget character of the hotel and might have ranked it less than I did. If you are going to Senkang, this is the place as the hotel was full with toursits either returning from Torajaland or on their way up

Most importantly, I am not sure that I would choose to do this again. Likely I would elect to ake another 9 hour ride and get to Jogja late at night instead via plane ride from Makassar. Alternately if going north I would proceed to Rantepao directly.

Went for the boat ride and visited a house but somehat unimpressive tour.

I have visited this hotel quite often before. Last time I remember this hotel got only 4 or 5 wooden room. Very simple. A place for backpackers. Now they are the best in town. Swimming pool, room is big, and well maintained. My only problems is they don't serve meals. Only breakfast, so you have to go out at night for dinner.
