“Good wine superb fish”
Reviewed February 17, 2012

We must thank the owner of Torre de Babel Hostel, for recommending Sacho as a good restaurant to have dinner in Castro. In fact, the modest entrance of Sacho will not call your attention, but once inside, you will be positively surprised. The decoration based on local products gives the place a warming ambiance and the staff is very attentive and helpful in suggesting local food - main dish and dessert - and good wine (in our case, Cousiño Macul Don Luis, a very refreshing white one). The price will also help you in leaving Sacho in a quite good mood.

“Good food”
Reviewed February 2, 2012

Sacho is a good restaurant, nothing fancy. It has nice views over the water, the decor is simple, the service good.
We had mussels and 'almejas parmesanos' to start. Fresh and delicious.
The main course was 'merluza' with a salad. The fish was so fresh, tender and well cooked that it melted in the mouth. The salad was avocado, tomato and palmito. Tasty.
I would recommend this restaurant. Check the opening hours, they do not open all day.

“Excellent seafood at reasonable prices”
Reviewed January 8, 2012

We tried the speciality, a huge plate of seafood with a bit of potato and chorizo and "ceviche" (fresh raw fish with lemon).
Both dishes were delicious.

“Just amazing”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

This place is awesome. First, the person that mentioned the curanto - the dish that they have that is curanto is called pulmay. It's similar, just with less meat (more seafood). It is totally fantastic, and the portion is huge! Also, the outside looks very unassuming, but the inside upstairs has a BEAUTIFUL VIEW. I wasn't expecting that at all. The other great thing about this place is that it's warm. We went to Octavio the night before and I froze during the entire meal. Here they have heaters, but also the building in general is more insulated; therefore warmer. The staff was super friendly and was all about getting us more hot water for the tea, and was very friendly about kicking us out after they had closed.

I'd most definitely eat seafood at this place again. Delicious meal, friendly staff, amazing view, and WARM!
