“The New Gold Standard for Shore Excursions”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Anne and her team provided a most memorable experience for our group of four well seasoned travellers. Finding enPatagonia on the web was pure serendipity. But such unknowns can be a real gamble. I can only endorse all the most favourable comments below. Anne in Wyoming and Mark and her team in remote Puerto Chacabuco provided a rich cultural experience in a most entertaining and informative, well managed style. Walking across a working farm in the mists of Patagonia to drink Pisco Sours, feast on barbecued lamb, imbibe with Chilean wine and dance with award winning dancers set a new standard for overall quality in what a traveller's local experience can be in just a few hours. A valuable experience for a most reasonable price. Would that the ship's tours could deserve such consistently high ratings.

“Into the campo”
Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

With a leap of faith based on Trip Advisor reviews, we booked a trip with enPatagonia for a group of ten traveling on the Sojourn around Patagonia. Highlights of the day's outing included enjoying the varying scenery of the Simpson River Valley, including sprawling Puerto Aysen, vigorous cascades, a roadside shrine, and a cheerful meal on a farm high in the hills. Our guide, Mark, an expat teacher and NOLS instructor brought his son along and we also met the rest of his family who joined our group at lunch. Mark's narration of the history, culture, and customs of the area, including sharing mate', enlivened the experience. Enjoying the grilled lunch with wine, and music amid the bright gardens of the farm, sharing the grandmother's pride in her bright-eyed grandson, brought us closer to the essence of Chile than any other tour.

“Fantastic Tour!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

One of the highlights of our cruise. The whole tour was well-executed from pick-up to drop off. Mark, our tour guide, talked continuously with great vigor about life in Chile and its culture. We had magnificent weather as well. The 'campo' was a great way to sample life in Patagonia. The farm family provided us with a great lunch and wonderful entertainment.

“FANTASTIC TOUR”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

We disembarked a Seabourn Cruise ship thinking this port would have nothing to see. Boy were we wrong. Thanks to our guide Mark with enpatagonia we had an amazing and very thorough tour of the area. Leaving Puerto Chacabuco, of which there is not much to see, we went to explore the countryside. We were transported by a mini van, max 15 guests. Saw incredible waterfalls but the highlight clearly was lunch on a typical "farm" called a "campo". They roasted a lamb on an open pit. We were treated a wonderful show of local dances. But the best was the guide who came from America and had so much to share with us about his life in Chile. This is one tour you do not want to miss!!!

“From Scenery to Local Way of Life”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Was a bit nervous booking non cruse trip but I have no problems now after taking the trip - they do not want to miss the ship and kept everything running smoothly. The trip allows time to get off the bus for pictures and checking out the scenery. Something the big tour operators do not have. Then off to get a bit of a feel for some of the local way of living taking back roads through the country side to a farm and having a superb lunch with local dancing and food. The hosts were extremely friendly and with our guide were able to get all our questions answered re the lamb, the dance and the farm etc.
