I am a repeat guest at Bio Bio's camp on the Fu. It's a fantastic way to spend a week. The rafting is top notch but it's also so much more. The whole Bio Bio team are very good at what they do - which includes creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere in camp.

If you are the kind of traveler who believes the "help" should silently and invisibly meet all your needs, then this place is NOT for you.
The team at Bio Bio have larger than life personalities and they eat, drink, dance, sing and yoga with you and then provide world-class river guiding expertise.
The camp provides you with a comfortable bed right on the banks of possibly the most beautiful whitewater river in the world The water is clean and clear. The Patagonian cliffs and waterfalls are surreal and the rapids are nothing short of massive.
Food, big fun and instant friendships. It is paradise for anyone with an adventurous spirit!

We have just wrapped up 7 days on the Futaleufu with Bio Bio and it was a perfect trip. While not everyone on the family is an avid outdoorsperson, this trip was a great fit for the 6 of us with an excellent mix of adventure and comforts. Each aspect of the trip was spot on, from the logistics, to the lodging, food, rafting, fishing and safety. Every member of the staff, led by Lorenzo and Stan and are gracious, dedicated and highly experienced whitewater guides. They made us feel at home the moment we got there and took great care of us all week.

The tents and cabins are rustic, charming and comfortable. There is plenty of hot water for showers and the camp has two wood fired hot tubs with views of the river. The food is exceptional and the staff was able to accommodate each guest's diet, incluing vegan and gluten free. Most of the food, including the meat, is locally sourced and we had - amongst other things --parilla, lamb adobo , fish, and on Christmas eve, two spectacular turkeys.

My sons and I are avid fly fishermen so Lorenzo placed us with Alex, who is perhaps the most experienced fishing guide in the region. Mixed in between runs of Class 5 rapids, Alex would switch us from the raft to a cataract to throw flies at big rainbow trout and monster browns. We fished sections of the river that we accessible only after running multiple class 5 rapids and which I suspect are fished by only a few people each year.

This is a great trip for families with varying levels of interest in outdoor activities. For those who want to take risks, the rafting is some of the most challenging in the world. For those who like to fly fish in some of the most beautiful and remote places in the world, bio bio delivers. For those who like to eat and drink well, they have that covered too. Best trip ever.

It's been a few years- further back than the calendar here will allow- but I still dream of revisiting. Marc and Lars have put together an incredible mix of fun, adventure, beauty and serenity. These have networked and gathered an outstanding group of experts who love the water and do everything to make sure their clients have a very safe and adrenaline filled days. The tent camps over the water is better than any four seasons hotel, and only outdone by the morning yoga and fantastic food/wine. Hot showers and flushing toilets help. Riding with Chilean saddles- never got sore and almost brought one home-even when I don't ride at home. Eating off the raspberry bushes- guess that's what I think summer camp is all about. White water rafting- unbelievably exhilarating, and only scary when you review on the video. DO NOT MISS. Totally rejuvenated and energized. Getting there was an adventure but a great way to see the country side. think the route has changed since i visited but area they route through now- been wanting to see that area for a while. Planning again!

Room Tip: Each tent is named after a major river in the world- think Marc and Lars might have rafted them all by now. All with a view.

Outstanding adventure in Patagonia with rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, duckies, dancing great food , knowledgable guilds, a great way to get out of the routinue and into nature. Highly recommended!
Can not praise it highly enough the best in over 100 adventures in last 17 years. If you love rafting clas 4,5 5+ river with a knowlegible and safety conscious group this is the group for you. Camping in tent with raised mattresses can not call it roughing it but if ytou love the outdoors, this is the trip for you

Room Tip: Camping at its best, even with children over 5 y.o.
