Let me start by saying that our guide and friend January WAS THE BEST!! He showed where to get real pearls in Lombok, offered great service throughout our stay, guided us around Lombok when we rented a scooter -- just a kind, thoughtful, helpful and wonderful person.
I think this property has the same owner as Anemalou Villas in Bali, where we stayed first before arriving at Anema Resort. If there was a way to merge the best of the two properties, we'd be in business!! So this was a resort, so we had a hotel room versus a villa-style property, so no kitchen. But the restaurant food was yummy -- great breakfast, good pastas, steak was succulent -- Bintang Radlers were plentiful -- expensive by Indonesian standards, but a beer in the US in a hotel is about $7 -- it was half that at Anema, so no complaints there -- the food was pricey by Indonesian standards but cheaper than the U.S. Our room had a full-sized refrigerator and private (and very clean) plunge pool made it nice. The critter management here was poor: I was eaten alive by mosquitoes -- wish they had the bug zappers from Anemalou here! The bathroom again, very cleverly organized, but the shower was a mystery: poor drainage, so as you came out of it, the entire bathroom floor was wet -- a recipe for a "slip and fall." Same stone carved tub as at the villas in Bali, so I learned my lesson with that one and didn't use it -- the shower was dicey enough. The place for hanging bath towels was a wood ladder -- again, visually pleasing, but not functional -- hooks in the shower to hang the towels would have made more sense as you had to cross the floor (making it even more wet and unsafe) to get your towel to dry off!

The common area facing the beach was great! Nice pool for getting a quick dip and cooling off -- the beach front was beautiful and clean, as was the water and the property grounds were well-kept and scenic. I would definitely come back to Anema Resort again, but would bring snacks from the mainland for late night munchies, come via the Lombok Airport if possible because the high-speed ferry from Bali was long and hot, and bring my own bug zapper!!

Amazing, very quiet resort. We spend there 5 beautiful days, had two villas with private pools. Everything was perfect: breakfast, room service, all staff very friendly and helpful etc. One things on minus, on offer was free boat to Gili Island. When we asked about that, we got info that this offer is only for customers from booking.com. Our daughter really liked the beautiful resort and beach. We really recommend Anema Resort!!

i loves the elegant modern yet simple exterior and interior design of this hotel. quite and village atmosphere outside. i get lot space for my privacy.
they always give excellent service in my room. everything was neat and clean.
the staff also very friendly. they gv me excellent service. they greet and asked how's my day, simply question but really make my day! they also help me to get ginger tea as i requested in early morning coz I'm not feeling well atm.
i really appreciate the restaurant staff for listen and remember to my request. they gv me less salt less sugar and no msg in every foods i ordered, but still tasty (: *no many restaurant in Indonesia can do that!
so much fun during trip to Gili !! ❤

Beautiful new resort with stunning villas. We stayed in a family pool villa - just lovely. The staff so helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
Only downside is there is not a lot around so if you want to eat at other places the choice is limited. The restaurant is expensive. Breakfast was lovely and the hotel even packed us a takeaway package as we had to leave early for the airport. Thank you Anema Resort.

Room tip: Take snacks if you have a family as room service and the restaurant is expensive
