The room decoration was awesome, very modern. Our room had a private hot tub in the balcony which was A+. Food was delicious, service was amazing, everybody was really kind and corteous..100% recommended

Free food, great beaches, diarrhea, wonderful facilities, vomiting, free drinks, friendly staff (you just have to smile at them), stomach ache, guests from all countries (Europe, Russia, Latin America), more diarrhea, free golf (and it's a nice course), thongs, beautiful grounds, kids water parks, occasional topless on the beach, kids getting sick and spending a day in the room, nice restaurants (you just have to reserve ahead of time), now my wife has diarrhea and we're at the airport - God I hope we make it out of here.

Room Tip: Choose the room with the water filter - oh wait, there isn't one.

We arrived to be faced with a large expansive frontage and any doubts or fears you had start to diminish. We were dealt with quickly and efficiently and taken to our room. After travelling for 12 hours we wanted to eat, unpack, shower and sleep.
The room; was well equipped, had tea and coffee, iron and board, hairdryer etc. it was cleaned quite well each day, however the fridge restocking was very hit and miss as was changing of towels and face cloths.
We were in block 8 room 464 which overlooked the golf course. For us it was perfect because it was peaceful and quiet and only a short stroll to the hotel.
Hotel food; the buffet area was where most meals were eaten, always breakfast and lunch. There was always a wide variety on display, it was well cooked and tasty BUT just about every meal was only luke warm and sometimes cold. Why go to the bother of preparing and cooking the stuff if it's cold. The plates should be reheated, the burners underneath kept alight, which they were not and bring it out hot. I quite often saw fresh food brought out and went straight for it but it still was only warm. Thus us one situation that desperately needs addressing.
The Spanish restaurant was excellent.
The sushi restaurant was very good.
The French restaurant was over rated, also while eating our starter the main course turned up!
The steakhouse restaurant was good, however on our first visit the service was very poor, it did seem better on the second visit. To be honest I have had far better steaks elsewhere.
The 19th hole which was situated by our room served a good steak and probably the best desert in the whole hotel, chocolate cake.
The bars; seemed to serve different drinks depending on which one. Some had more alcohol in them and others used differing brands, meaning good quality and bad.
The evening shows; were generally very professional, well presented and obviously had a lot of hard work in there making. Two minuses were the music was far too loud, one night we gad to get up and walk out because it was deafening. The other problem was that we were there for two weeks and the second week was basically a rerun of the first.
The beach; was fantastic, with white powdery sand, warm Caribbean water and only a stones throw from the hotel. Two slight negatives were that the grass came ashore but the guys did try and clear it away everyday. Secondly there was nothing to see from a snorkelers perspective, for this you had to book an excursion.
The staff in all areas always worked hard, were generally happy in their work and tried to make you feel welcome. However learn a little Spanish it does help.
I do not rate this hotel as 5 stars but a good 4 I would go back again but please please serve the food hot or invest in some microwaves!

From checkin to checkout, the staff succeeded in making our stay fantastic. I had requested groundfloor family suite before arriving, and got it, roomy, clean, two outside sitting areas, and close to restaurants and facilities. Hotel is only 20 min from airport. Beautiful landscaped grounds, great beach with plenty of water activities, buffet restaurant with plenty of options for all meals, specialty restaurants excellent. The casino is unfortunately pathetic, many slot machines not working and impossible to win even a little so only went in once. Otherwise definitely recommend this resort.

From pick up at the airport to check out - nothing seemed to work properly.
What a shock when laying down, and you find sand in the sheets and under the desk - that is sloppy housekeeping. I presume that the sand came with the sheets from the laundry - i refuse to think that the sheets were not washed.
WIFI went down during the last evening and never came back and at the 5 AM checkout I stood in line for 25 minutes while the one agent attended to one one lady. Finally I was assigned a taxi which was recalled and once back I was told they had assigned the wrong taxi.
This is not my kind of a resort - even if I was only visiting during a conference.
This place needs work.

Room Tip: stay close to the main building if you do not like to walk - if you like to exercise then the location does not matter.... I got some miles in.....
