My partner and I spent the week of my 40th Birthday at the Amari Vogue in mid-February, I am really happy that we chose this hotel as we had an amazing week and it was the perfect place to relax and escape it all. We loved that all of the staff were friendly and attentive but discreet, we were always greeted with a smile and a 'sawadee'. The hotel itself was the perfect size, it never seemed overcrowded or too busy, the lush, tropical grounds were kept immaculate and it would be hard to beat the views of the beach and distant Hong Islands. The location is great for a relaxing break; set on a stunning beach with just a handful of other hotels, the price to pay for this is that there is not much within walking distance however there are a couple of bars / restaurants along the beach and the hotel has a lovely Thai restaurant as well as an Italian restuarant / bar on the beach (great for a sunset drink, we highly recommend taking advantage of happy hour). We ate at the Lotus, Thai restaurant, quite pricey by local standards but the food was very high quality and had unusual dishes you do not find everywhere. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Others have said their rooms were tired but we were very happy with ours. Parts of the hotel need a little TLC but I would say it is well-loved rather than neglected and I am sure these things will be addressed when refurbishment takes place. We would return in a heartbeat.
