Transport is expensive to go to the hotel. We paid 450baht from Ao Nang to the hotel(which was already cheap) After that, we decided to book the thai cooking class and the day tours which can pick us up and send us back to the hotel.
The bed was two single bed joined together to a double bed. Not comfortable if you are going as a couple.
Staff is friendly, with welcome drinks when you check in. They send us extra beach towels every day. Quiet place with not much around.
We booked a restaurant outside with extra transports.
One night we walk to the amari vogue for dinner (the Bellini italian restaurant) which is delicious!
Breakfast was really good.

Room Tip: We stayed at room1200 which is ok at the 2nd row face to the beach.

it'a a wonderful sightseing place,we have been at tup kaek beach last year and found very good.Everything changed:in front of the rooms, and the swimming pool,(now too small)two rows of bungalows divided by a road of cement instead of a beautiful garden with a small lake full of flowers and the beach .The room was humid smelling humid too.The staff new and not so friendly and helpful.Still working for new bungalows hammers hammers hammers. The new construction will be dangerous for children with many steps and holes:never leave them unattended.Breakfast medium.Very far from a center or a different restaurant or shop and without a shuttle or even a taxi service or outdoor

Room Tip: quelle al secondo piano sopra la piscina o i bungalow fronte mare nuovi

We picked this resort as it was reasonably priced and already had good reviews on Trip Advisor. We weren't disappointed. We originally booked for 3 nights and ended up extending for an additional night. We booked a deluxe building room but were upgraded to one of the newly built garden view bungalows. From what we could tell we were occupying the first one that has been completed. By the looks of it we think the other 5 or 6 bungalows will be finished in the next few weeks. We arrived at the resort well before the check in time but our room was ready for us, it was nice to be able to unwind and relax on the gorgeous stretch of beach outside! The room style was quite modern with some rustic features such as wooden floors and wood styled panels in the bedroom and bathroom. There were only 2 downsides that we could see. Firstly, the shower was finished with a curtain that is way too short which means that the bathroom floor gets flooded each time you take a shower (they have a lovely rain shower by the way!), secondly, it didn't look like they had cleaned the windows before we arrived. When we looked outside in the sunlight you could see a lot of smudges etc on the windows. We did ask one of the reception staff if they could be cleaned and he said it would be sorted out but it never was. Nevermind, it was just a small issue. The breakfast was more than adequate for our needs. We ate dinner in the restaurant on a couple of occassions, it was only ok but quite cheap and also treated ourselves to dinner at the Arundina next-door at the Tup Kaek Boutique Resort which was top notch. So you are not really limited for choice given you can dine in the other resorts. We hired a scooter through the resort on one of the days which meant we could head into Ao Nang and go to Railay Beach for the day. We also stocked up on snacks and drinks while we were there so we didn't have to purchase everything at the resort. There is a National Park up the road where you can go for a hike, we did a short one but were very happy just chilling out at the beach. Free Kayaks and wifi were also great. We both left a little sad as we had such a nice relaxed time at the resort. It's not the most fancy place you could stay but I don't think you can go wrong for the money. Also we noticed that the Tup Kaek Sunset Resort has the widest strip of beach compared to the other resorts, this meant there was more space for all the guests to spread out so it wasn't overcrowded at all.

Room Tip: Try to get either an oceanfront villa or one of the new garden bungalows

We drove to Krabi from Bangkok with no place booked and ended up (after searching the area for 3hours)here because it was the prettiest beach around and they had a room on the beach. It is next door to the Ritz which is $1000 per night. Our beach is actually nicer than the Ritz and our room is $150 a night. On the road to this place is the Sofitel Krabi which is worth mentioning. The Road leading to Tup Kaek separates the Sofitel from the beach, so guests must cross the road and the beach isn't very nice. Our room opens directly to a beautiful wide sandy beach shaded in the beginning by palms. The view is on the bay with many islands in front. We kayaked around the closest on today which took my girlfriend and I two hours. Kayaks are complimentary.

This location is about 15-20 minute drive from Ao Nang beach and town. Ao Nang is a horribly crowded and annoying tourist trap filled with souvenir shops, restaurants, tattoo parlors, massage parlors, a Burger King, McDonald's, a Starbuck's, 7 elevens, etc. spending the day on this beach would be perfectly dreadful although we did have a great seafood diner there yesterday. Krabi Resort is at the end of this beach and thankfully they were full when we stopped in there.

Closer to us (7-8 min) is Klong Muang town with the Sheraton. One need not venture farther than here as there are plenty of restaurants here and a much more chill vibe. I still strongly prefer our end of the road location to staying at the Sheraton and our beach is much nicer. That said, you may want to rent a motor bike if you stay here although most people here and at the neighboring Tubkaak Krabi and Amari Vogue Krabi resorts seem perfectly content relaxing around here. If you enjoy tropical fauna, breathtaking beach scenery and quiet stay here! If you like t shirt shopping and plastic souvenirs stay in Ao Nang.

Concerning amenities: Breakfast is ok with tropical fruits, bacon, omelette cook, etc. Nothing to write home about. The pool is between rooms and not interesting, but if you have the best beach in the area, who neds a pool. The room is nice enough without much frills, but the porch under the palms is super. BTW, I read poor reviews concerning construction. It is complete so NO problem!!! Reviewers that harp on a temporary condition such as building some new rooms do travelers a dis-service by not rating this place highly. I have stayed in nicer rooms and had better breakfasts, but this place in the gorgeous Thai beachside place you picture in your mind ala DiCaprio's "The Beach".

Btw, if you are new to the area, understand that the town of Krabi has nothing you want to see.

Room Tip: Get a beach front room if you can, but all the room are good and you will enjoy this place in any case.

The resort is actually very good, the food average, but very good priced compared to other resorts. Thumbs up. Hope the restaurant will also get a revamp as it looks like a military canteen style type of place.
The room is beautiful. This would have been a dream vacation, however, the construction is very annoying and VERY noisy. One night up to 8 PM! It is now 25 december and no way to relax on the beach or in my room without having to hear a buzz-saw or drilling. I will check out early and find another place to stay.
You have all been warned, because they for sure mention nothing on their website, nor adjust pricing. At least the consumer would purchase the trade off.
Once home I will post a video for you all to prove I am not telling stories about the noise!
