A personal welcome started us off on a really positive note and the assigned butler did a great job of initiating us to the beautiful room with a seriously WOW bathroom.
The outdoor bathtub was dirty to the point of being uninviting, but apart from that the pavilion villa surpassed my expectations.
4 more nights here ... I hope I will continue to experience more positives!

We were here for 4 days (June 4-7). It was a last minute change due to the initial 10pm curfew in Bangkok and the uncertainty surrounding protests in the streets. We were not disappointed. It is slow season and we were upgraded to a villa (I am a Marriott platinum member). Our butler JB was the greatest. Every morning she would find us at breakfast and made sure our every need and request was met. If it was raining, she would pick us up in a golf cart and provide us with umbrellas. She even had a few surprises for us.

The workers at the pool were great. The same goes for the employees in the restaurants and spa. Food was great. There is not a lot to do (though they will arrange for some excursions), but that is what my wife and I wanted for these 4 days once our itinerary changed. We hope to come back again one day during a more busier time of year.

Visited this lovely resort for a short holiday with family. Nothing prepares you for the dramatic entrance this hotel has as you hop across a water body on a paved pathway to reach the lobby. It is truly spectacular, especially at night with hundreds of candles flickering all around you. The resort manager was waiting to greet us as we entered the hotel.
The check-in formalities are done in your room itself which is really convenient. The rooms are huge and really luxurious. The bed was the largest I have ever seen in a hotel room - almost like 2 kingsize beds combined. The best part however is the massive bathroom. With a huge marble tub as you enter and one more in the outdoor section, should you chose to indulge. With huge shower and wardrobe areas, the bathroom itself is over 500 sqft.
Service throughout our stay was exemplary with the staff going out of their way to meet our every request. Personal butlers allotted to every room are another luxury you can get used to.
I was troubled with a foul odour in my room emanating from the air conditioning system. The hotel offered to change my room, but since my family had adjoining rooms, we chose not to shift.
The other area which I felt could do with some improvement was the breakfast selection. It was quite limited as compared to what we are used to in luxury hotels.
Other than that had a very nice relaxing stay. Would definitely visit again.

Room tip: Its a huge property so ask for rooms near the pool otherwise you have to wait for a buggy to take you around.

We booked Phulay as the first stop in a great island hopping holiday put together for us by Andaman Aventures travel agency. Other places we visited were the Rayavadee on Railay, Seven Seas on Koh Kradan and Lebua in Bangkok. Of these 4 hotels, the Phulay Bay was the best. And believe, they are all just outstanding ! At Phulay, the service was well organized, the meals were always so tasty without failing anytime, and the villa we had was large, with big outdoor jacuzzi and unseen luxurious ! + Crazy beautiful bathroom, should be called Romance Room ! Great hotel in a beautiful location. People who complain about his hotel have something wrong in their head. Recommended, highly !

An amazing resort. The customer service is second to none from the moment you get picked up from the airport to the time you leave. We had a beachfront Villa which was lovely. Te our butler saw to all of our needs throughout our stay. This is the place you come to if you want to just shut off from everything. I spent time at the pool where there is no "fighting" for lounges like at some resorts. I had my own cabana. There are chillers/ice-boxes scattered around the pool with filled with bottles of water - which is a nice touch. The two restaurants on site are first class. The buffet breakfast has everything you could possibly think of. And again the service at these place is high standard. I was lucky to have a 1.5 hour massage at the spa on site. Yes, it is more expensive from the outside Spas but the ambiance is worth it.

I would say the only downside (for me) is the location (distance from "others"). This is a personal thing. I get restless and like to wander about. It took about 20 minutes by car to get to Ao Nang and Krabi Town. Another thing was there was a shipping area to the left of the resort which was a bit of an eye sore.

Thanks for an amazing weekend break!
