“3.5 stars. Adequate but not sure what the hype is about.”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

We picked this restaurant based on TA reviews. Can't say it was a let down but at the same time not sure what the hype is all about. Tried Indian and Nepalese dishes and they were solid, but not out of this world. Service was good, but not exemplary like the other reviews (didn't see the owner). The major disappointment was that the restaurant has a serious mosquito problem (repellant was offered but it didn't help) and we were virtually feasted upon by hordes of them (malaria and dengue fever alert?). As well, the restaurant is facing the main road and heavy tanker traffic seems to pick up during the evening. Not a great atmosphere having smog filled air from these trucks every 5 mins.

“Super tandoori!”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

Might be exaggerating this a bit due to overload of Thaifood, but this was seriously good Tandoori. Facilities were not exactly 5 star, but we were there to eat.. And they had nice cocktails!

“A Pleasant Surprise”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

We were staying in an adjacent hotel and in need of more taste and atmosphere than we were getting from perfectly adequate but rather bland offerings found there. The staff were welcoming as we tentatively approached the restaurant, with no pressure or hard sell. The menu offered a great range of tasty dishes and the option to modify to suit personal preferences.

The food was delightful offering a fusion between tastes familiar to those immersed in the UK Curry Culture with broader influences.

As a counter-point to multi-national hotel fare we were very pleased, but also if nearby it is worth a visit any way. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the food arrived when we were ready for it rather than when the kitchen thought we should be ready unlike at the hotel where the main course arrived while the starter still had some way to go!

Definitely on the "repeat" list

“Great Friendly Restaurant”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

We had an excellent meal here, I had the Chicken Saag and my partner had a Nepalese chicken dish. Both were excellent. The family and staff were all very welcoming and we were kept entertained by Molly the Labrador and then a lot of the locals turned up to celebrate Diwali so were were entertained by live singing and dancing. All in all a brilliant night.
