“Wow.. a serene retreat set in beautiful Krabi..”
Reviewed December 25, 2011

I booked Elements hotel through hotels.com for something like 110 bucks, so I wasn't expecting to be somewhere so truly amazing. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL and it is truly a retreat away from the world. Wow. Our room was amazing, the pool was amazing, and there was a area with pool table, games, and even a karaoke machine. We didn't want to leave. We went to Krabi for only one night b/c we were flying out of there, but we plan on coming back. Krabi was breathtakingly beautiful... and I am saying this after barely seeing it! It is a lush green place and from our hotel, it seemed like we were set in the mountainous area with amazingly beautiful greens everywhere. I so wish we could have seen more.

Krabi's port is not a hustling and bustling place like phuket. You might want to call your hotel ahead of time and arrange a pick up ride.. Elements was about 30 minutes from the port and we found a driver through a guy that was on our boat. It cost us 1000 baht to get to the hotel. I think i could have negotiated it to 800 but i was tired and over it at that time. Elements has free rides to the beach every day which is another plus. We got a ride through the hotel for the airport and that cost another 1000 baht. It's a little more expensive then what we had in Phuket but Krabi is a fairly large area and not as crazy as Phuket.

We really hope to return to this resort one day, it was amazing!

After staying here for a week I can safely say some of the reviews on here are completely wrong! The staff are so lovely and helpful and always around to help, the receptionist, waiters, waitress, manager, driver and cleaners and all so polite friendly and helpful. The hotel is away from things but that is the beauty of it, once you have seen the busy main town and the tourist's we were extremely happy we picked it. The shuttle bus is run by the hotel and is great, one to the beach, hotel, airport and shops. What more could you ask for. Rooms are amazing clean and big. The breakfast was great, pancakes are beautiful. The only down side the evening meal was inconsistant and never came all together. Plently of free drinking water, fruit and towels.

We hired the driver for the day who took us to the hot springs, emerald pool what a lovely young man. Polite friendly and took us everywhere he could with the time we had.

The push bikes were a cool way to get around as well.

Thank you for a lovely stay I have told everyone about our stay with you.

We are 5 friends (2 couples and 1 lady) who just came back from this wonderful place (Krabi). We stayed there for 7 nights.

After reading many reviews at Tripadvisor we choose “The Elements Krabi Resort” for our stay. We wanted a hotel above the average and not very far away from the busy Ao Nang.

After having stayed there for 7 nights we can say that we made the rights choice. The hotel is situated at Klong Muang beach, just some steps after Sofitel. The truth is that the beach in front of the hotel is too rocky and not so suitable for swimming but for us it wasn’t a problem because Krabi has so many beaches that someone has to visit.

When we arrive at the Resort, after a trip of approximately 24 hours, we were welcomed warmly by the reception girls. They offered us cool towels and refreshing drinks. We filled some papers and they led us to our rooms. We had made a reservation for 3 superior rooms and so our rooms were located at the 3rd floor of the main building of the resort.

The rooms were exactly as we expected them to be according to the Resort’s site. Plenty of space, suitable for 2 people, comfortable beds, great bathroom, nice views. After getting some sleep we visited Ao Nang. The resort offers free transfer to Ao Nang 3 times a day.

The breakfast in general was satisfactory but the truth is that there wasn’t so mush variety. Jams were very tasteful especially strawberry and coconut. There was a boy who was making eggs either scrambled or omelet.

The restaurant is of a good quality with many choices and not high prices. You can taste from Thai cuisine to Italian like pizza, pasta or international like burgers and salads. Nice drinks and sweets. Highly recommended great value for money.

After we had stayed 3 nights (of a total of 7) we were informed by the very helpful girls at the reception that the manager of the hotel decided to make as an upgrade to Premier rooms with pool access. So we all changed our rooms for the rest 4 nights.

The premier rooms where fantastic. There are 8 premier rooms at the hotel, 4 of them with pool access. These rooms are fantastic. They are really big, with separate room for clothes and buggages, spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower tube, direct pool access. We were very satisfied with this professional behavior by the hotel manager.

The resort also has a spa “Peace on Earth”. It offers professional treatments and very reasonable prices. The girls of our party used the services of the Spa every day and they were very satisfied.

We arranged all of our excursions and tours with the helpful girls at the reception. They cooperate with many tour operators so it is very easy for someone to book any tour he wants. We took 3 tours all arranged by our hotel.

Totally, “The Elements Krabi Resort” is a very highly recommended resort either for families with children or for couples and friends. It is located a 10-15 minute drive to Ao Nang (not bad for us). We had a very good time and we enjoyed all the moments we spend there. Everything was perfect.

Greetings to all working there and thank you very much for your effort.

Let me start with the positive attributes of this hotel. It is fairly new and rooms are clean and nicely decorated. There are decent facilities such as a gym, big swimming pool and a billard table. That is pretty much it.
As for the negative attributes, I would begin with the fact that there are barely any staff around in the evening to provide any assistance. Little information is given to newcomers and the receptionists are not well versed in English nor are they friendly or eager to help.
It is said in the hotel's website that it is 'set along a beautiful Klong Muang beach'. Sigh. How misleading. The hotel separated from the beach by the main road and the very small beach is sandy, rocky and surrounded by big cargo ships. There is nothing around the restaurants, so it is important that one is able to ride a motorbike to get around.
I would not recommend this place to people who loves to stroll out to the beach from their rooms or who likes the convenience of amenities. I like the quiet but nevertheless find this place desolate and depressing, both in the hotel and around it.

We stayed at Elements for 2 nights due to a trade fair promotion. We were transferred to the hotel smoothly. We liked the staff, they are very friendly, always smiling and very informative. We liked the room, it is quite huge and very clean. Free wifi is an added advantage. The bed is a platform type, to me too soft, and does not give much support. Be prepared with insect repellent. Much mozzies around. It was very quiet and not much guest were around.

There are free shuttles to Ao nang beach area but only at 3pm,5pm and 8pm. Otherwise you are very much trapped in the hotel. There is also 3 morning shuttles to Tubeak Beach (pardon the spelling error) but we never got to doing that.

When we arrived, we missed out the 5pm shuttle to Ao nang. Hotel taxi rate is 500B one way. We walked out and managed to negotiate a 650B 2 way with a shop on the right side of the resort. A very decent car with a very nice guy who is very careful driving.

We were not disappointed with the shops along the Ao nang beach area. It is nothing huge, quite nice with rows of restaurants, massage places and shops selling the usual. We manage to have a massage at 250B an hour. A rather nice stroll to spend the evening.

Our package came with a 4 island hopping tour the next day which is nothing fantastic. If you are looking forward to wonderful water life, don't bother. This trip is more like a day out in the sun, hopping from island to island. Someone had already warned us about the bad stage of bleaching of coral life in Krabi, so we didn't expect much.

Room service food is very ordinary. To me, it is bad as everything had too much salt and oil, even though instructions had been given at time of order. The food tasted like soaked in salt. We hardly touched the noodle. Breakfast is very simple spread. Maybe due to the lack of guests but the staff are very polite and helpful.

The swimming pool needs to be cleaned. Leaves were all over the place. Junks of them were stuck in a big black patch in the water near the fountains. It makes the otherwise nice pool really dirty. From underwater, it looks eerie as if there are "monsters" in the water. So you can imagine how big the patches of dead leaves had accumulated.

We don't think we would visit as there is absolutely nothing around the area. The sea outside is not possible to swim, rocky and dirty. There is some construction going on near the beach about 1km away. Full of insects and mozzies. The location is off the track, and very hard to get to and from amenities.

Room Tip: Bring lots of repellent if you have sensitive skin.

The hotel is new and nice, located 15/20 minutes away from town by van (shuttle is organized from the hotel). There is barely nothing around.
Staff is really nice and smiling but lack of experience : not so fluent in English (but you alaways finish to get understood), don't expect delicious Thai food at restaurant, the worst Thai massage I EVER had (painful).
Room are really nice. Swimning pool is pretty great. Beach is not so nice as there is landing stage not far used bu fishing boats.
No equipment for kids.
Gym room is ok.

I stayed in the Element for 3 nights in a business trip to Krabi last week. At first i was not relaxed because it was for work and i had back to back meetings everyday. But on the last day when i checked out, i felt pampered and unwind. The hotel did a good job! First of all, the property was new and clean. Room decor was nice. A very nice resort. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They helped me arrange the daily transportation across the province, You could imagine even your own secretary wouldn't enjoy doing that. No one would forget Ratana, the hotel manager if you've been to the hotel. She checked in on me every now and then. Making me feel like i am an VIP!!! I finished my long day with a dessert every night. The chocolate cake and the fried banana are recommended. Trust me you don't want to miss them. One complaint though. They don't do very good congee. I hope the chef will look for a better recipe.
