This pub is within walking distance of our house, so if the weather is good we walk to it. The pub has recently been refurbished which has given it a more 'bistro' feel. Food is always good with plenty of variety, from specials, lunch time meal deal plus the overall menu. It is an excellent place to meet friends for lunch or an evening meal. There is also a good outdoor seating area. Good atmosphere, very friendly staff, reasonable prices. Good wheelchair access as well, with accessible loo. Would recommend this pub.

Visited this pub for lunch with my son and chose the light lunch menu, which had choices of either Scampi, fish and chips or lasagne and a couple of other choices. You could also have specials that were up on a blackboard and of course the main menu. We decided on the scampi and fish and chips which came in a basket which was very good with a choice of peas or mushy peas and salad garnish, ideal for a quick lunch. Price fairly reasonable from 4.99 upwards, and if you just want a sandwich that is also available.

Will definately return and try the main menu next time.

Bearing in mind that this is a chain pub where many of the dishes are shipped in rather than being cooked from scratch, the prices of the food are rather high. While not expensive by any means, there are so many other places that offer 'cooked on site' food, often with fantastic deals that make real restaurants as affordable as this chain. There's nothing wrong with the pub, the staff are friendly and it feels welcoming and homely, but I'd just choose to go elsewhere before here.

This wouldnt be my 1st choice of places to go for Sunday lunch as its a big chain and I avoid those. However the food it has to be said, is very very good. They have nice wines and good specials. They do a great roast and its open all day, so if you wake up at 2pm with a hangover and fancy a nice roast....this is perfect! One thing I would say is don't go late on days like mothering sunday.....its sooooo busy there is literally not a morsel of food left!!
