I went to visit a friend who lives in Adlington and suggested we try Zalzala as another friend who came a few weeks ago said it was good. He wasn't wrong! It was Monday night and there were no other customers dining in, although it seemed to be popular for takeaways. We shared a Sizzling Surprise to start: tandoori chicken, fish and mixed meats with a chilli sauce and a yoghurt and mint sauce. We then had a Thri-Vuji, chicken, lamb and king prawns in a really tasy spicy sauce, with sag aloo, fired mushrooms, a garlic nan and a chapati, all shared. My main problem with Indian cuisine is that it can be oily but there was no such worry here - everything was beutifully cooked and the sauces were excellent. Everything was washed down with Cobra beer, although a very reasonable wine list is also available. The service was great, not rushed but not too slow, with friendly staff. This is definitely a restaurant to return to, although perhaps later on in the week when it gets a little busier.
