The Tiger is a true, family run, village pub and offered excellent value(39.95)with their Christmas lunch.
We had booked Christmas lunch and found the food excellent and very well presented.we were not in a hurry and enjoyed a leisurely, well portion meal. Yes ,at times ,the polite and welcoming staff did seem rushed off their feet but most customers were understanding and accepted that they were earnestly doing their best . We unaware they were a waitress down.
In short, we had a lovely meal in a pleasant friendly atmosphere and will book again for next Christmas.

The Tiger offers excellent value pub food & it make an excellent change from the chain pubs that all have the same menus. The staff are friendly & service is good. The food on the theme nights is particularly good.

meals are excellent, good choice ,freshly prepared, there pies are always first class, friendly staff my only critisism is that the decor leaves a lot to be desired i think a freshen up with some paint and emulsion would work wonders for this place, but for food excellent

Went for Lunch on Christmas Day booked for 2pm eventually got the first course at 4pm and the main course came at 4.30.
Felt sorry for the waitresses serving the food as none of the management bothered to come out of the kitchen and offered any apologies whatsoever.
They over committed themselves and could not deliver the food within a reasonable time.
The saving grace was that the food was good.
Shame about the service!

As Owner of the Tiger Inn, I would like to thank you for you post and also apologise for the time aspect of your visit, this was our first year of service on Christmas Day and will take any feed back and experiences and learn from them. In our defence we normally run a manage very well a full restaurant with myself as an experienced chef (hence why I couldn't leave the kitchen) and my head chef and felt this would be no different , which in regards to the quality of the food it wasn't (as stated) but regarding the presenting and plating it was more more difficult but feel still delivered it to a high standard, so once the first course was under way it ran perfectly. So next year and future big events we will be most certainly having help on this aspect. Along with this we had a waitress phone in ill on the morning and wasn't able to replace her with it being on Christmas day. All other feed back we have received from other dining parties in smaller groups had great experiences. I do hope we see you again, and have a great new year, Marc from the Tiger Inn.
