This is a Gastro Pub you should visit. My wife, who is dairy intolerant, had no problems at all with the menu. The staff fell over backwards to accommodate her. I myself went for the.venison, which was some of the best I have ever tasted. The food was some of the most delicious we have tasted in yonks, it was hot and plentiful, and I mean plentiful. This was a lovely unrushed meal, we will return.

The copper horse in Seamer village has an old world charm about it. The staff are friendly and obliging. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the food is amazing. They cater for all pallets and you can select from various menus. All the food is cooked to order and the meats are always tender and nicely cooked. For those with smaller appetites you can ask for a smaller amount.
The desserts are always appealing and offer a good variety.

This is a lovely pub. A really friendly welcome from all the staff, great atmosphere and furnishings, and first class food. The walls are absolutely plastered with old theatre posters, from Scarborough, which will make an interesting trip down memory lane for those who can remember the artists on them, they do go back many years.
The food though is the real attraction, nice starters although the squid tempura was a little chewy, but the main courses were terrific, a massive pork chop with blue cheese, pickled apple and walnuts for one of us, an equally large chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese on a bed of wilted spinach and roast beetroot. After a starter and main course, along with the warm bread and butter, absolutely no room for pudding.
On the way out we picked up their leaflet for accommodation, bed and breakfast and self contained cottages, and would have no hesitation in booking either, simply on the basis of the standard the pub is operating at.

If your looking for a great place to eat in and around Scarborough give this place a try. Good food and plenty of it do not stock up on the bread and butters brought before starters, leave room for some great starters and mains. I had the crispy duck breast and struggled hence no sweet, wife had the cheese and caramalised onion tartlet and was not disappointed bearing in mind she is not a vegitarian. As for the staff they were friendly, attentive and overall excellent we will use again

They bring you this lovely warm bread with real thick creamy butter and garlic butter before your starter. Now this is so heavenly you may be tempted to ask for more- but don't, as you must save room for the mains

I challenge anyone to find a better lamb shank or beef brisket in Yorkshire. Both so succulent and juicy- no knife needed- you could cut this up with a spoon.

Great portions and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Fun space, relaxed and welcoming.

Only reason I wouldn;'t give it 5/5 is the desserts- they are good but not life changing. The crumble was a little hard. But the local ice-cream served with most desserts is lovely and creamy.

I will without a doubt be returning regularly and look forward to checking out the sister restaurant- The Tanglewood.
