They bring you this lovely warm bread with real thick creamy butter and garlic butter before your starter. Now this is so heavenly you may be tempted to ask for more- but don't, as you must save room for the mains

I challenge anyone to find a better lamb shank or beef brisket in Yorkshire. Both so succulent and juicy- no knife needed- you could cut this up with a spoon.

Great portions and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Fun space, relaxed and welcoming.

Only reason I wouldn;'t give it 5/5 is the desserts- they are good but not life changing. The crumble was a little hard. But the local ice-cream served with most desserts is lovely and creamy.

I will without a doubt be returning regularly and look forward to checking out the sister restaurant- The Tanglewood.

Had a family dinner over Easter weekend. Service was very good and very friendly. Menu choices good. My mini pork joint was outstanding. Our table was appropriately positioned for our four year old to be safely out of the way :) A very good night and will definitely return.

Our family party visited the Copper Horse on a Saturday night. The welcome was cheery and a well stocked bar includes local real ale. We all enjoyed starters and main courses. The menu is varied with plenty of choice and the food is well presented and plentiful. We were staying in Scarborough and it was well worth the short ride out of town to Seamer and the Copper Horse. A great pub and restaurant. We'll be back !

On ordering the starters we were told the fish cake was smoked haddock when it came it was in fact salmon. The burgers we were told would be plain when in fact they came covered in cheese and bacon and were not served with the skinned fries as stated on menu. When it came to the sweets the treacle sponge and custard was luke warm, with only a small amount of custard, the chocolate brownie was served with a huge amount of chocolate sauce but no ice cream as stated and the toffee meringue was so tough at the bottom the it was inedible.
