This was the final venue of our tour of Kerala and they had saved the best till last. We had upgraded to a pool villa and were astounded at the size and luxury of it. We were in villa 19 and we noticed at the foot of our bed, hanging on the wall, a framed post- stay review of villa 19 and the hotel in general signed by Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills who stayed in the villa on there honeymoon. The resort has a private beach on the Arabian sea but you need to be careful when walking along it as the local fishermen are not fussy about where they do there toilet functions. Apart from this every other aspect of our stay was fantastic from the delicious reasonably priced food and drink, to the helpful staff and lovely grounds A must try is the old guy who comes at tea time with his "Cha waggon" and makes Masala tea in the traditional way . It is delicious. Would recommend this resort to everyone.

We had a lovely stay at the Marari beach resort. The hotel, rooms, pool and grounds are excellent and staff are wonderful. Some guests had complaints about the beach (which was a bit dirty). While we were there, the sea was rough, so we would not have been tempted to spend a lot of time on the beach. I would suggest if you want a real beach holiday, then this is not the place to stay, but if you want a lovely tranquil Hotel set in nice surroundings, then is an ideal Hotel.

The rooms are a little quirky as the bathrooms are 'outside' of the bedrooms - they are roofed, but part of the bathrooms are open air. This seems a bit gimmicky, but it was explained to us that the rooms are modeled on the local fishermans houses which have outdoor bathrooms. Most importantly, the bathrooms were fine with good showers (although we did have some cool water during the day as the hot water is heated by solar panels during the day (and boiler during the evening)). Rooms are of a nice size and excellently maintained and serviced.

Food at the Hotel is excellent and we particularly enjoyed the sea food restaurant close to the beach.

All of the staff were very friendly and we would certainly like to return here.

Room Tip: All rooms are in large thatched houses in the grounds and appear to be all the same.

We visited Kerala for two weeks and our stay at Marari Beach Resort was blissful. The beach can be rated as one of the better beaches in Kerala. We went here straight from the Kochi airport and were graciously welcomed by the resort staff. This is most certainly one of the better run resorts of Kerala and you do not get the feeling that they are trying to rip you off. It is definitely an authentic Kerala experience.
The beach is quite clean and we loved the 2 days we stayed here.

Stayed for 2nights , twin sharing. Awesome experience. The resort has individual cottages with thatched roofs to give you the ultimate Kerala experience. Very courteous staff and hospitality to the extent that they would enure that you have a wonderful stay. The rooms are big size, bathrooms have the thatched roof with the openeing so great ambiance. Best customer service I have come across.
The resort is spread across vast land and you can really enjoy nature walking around the area. The beach is right there for you to walk down to. Though the sea was rough it being August and Kerala getting so much of rain that season, still the sea was a sight to behold and enjoy. The beach is kept pretty clean and also used by the locals, so you can experience the day to day activities of fishing by the locals. Always of the guard from the resort to keep a watch , so you really feel safe even late evenings.
Every morning there is yoga classes held , really good instructor helping you start you day in a very relaxed manner.
Dinner times is an experience at the restaurant. The spread of course is mouth watering with variety of Kerala cuisine with Indian music being played by the musicians, and then the staff make that extra effort starting a singalong with the musicians. All the staff from the manager, chef to the waiters join in the entertainment, making it a wonderful experience to sit down in the restaurant.
Hands down one of the best resort experience I have had, making me want to go back again.

The Marari Beach Resort was something I was not expecting – would want to go back to them again and yet again. It was an admirable property catering to the food and taste of varied guests. The hospitality was fabulous – the prompt housekeeping, the ever smiling F&B staff or the Ayurveda centre staff. The Executive chef and his team love interacting with guests and are willing to dish out customised dishes even if not on the lavish buffet spread. Their Chocó lava cake is to die for – my mouth waters as I type this - amazingly soft and oozing of luscious chocolate. Very thoughtfully they have set up a tea stall right in the middle of the property - called the Sebastian's team stall, it serves masala chai for an hour with some local Kerala snacks. The hotel is spread over a huge 32 acre area and breathes greenery in all they do from the huge expnse of trees and shrubs to the water harvesting to the organic farming.

The USP of the entire trip was undoubtedly the non-availability of TVs and internet (mostly) – spending time with ourselves, with family and soothing our tired eyes by lapping up the gorgeous green surroundings and the view of the sometimes-still-sometimes rough waters or just enjoying time in the pool or catching some gentle drizzle. Overall a very memorable trip, with everyone having a really good time. However, all good things have to come to an end. What can be more than having spent some truly memorable time and been left asking for more.

Felt this way before, never then this is the right place. Everything is so warm, subtle, beautiful at its own pace. Located just a little away from Alleppey but once inside you can forget the outside world. Fantastic home i must say, not like hotel stay at all. Stroll at your own leisure way. Worth the money. Food so healthy and wide spread. Good Swim area, the private pool villas are also extremely good. Home - Kochi Aiport - Home - Kochi Airport - Home.

I stayed here with friends -returning after 7 or so years- on our trip in Kerala.
This place was as perfect as I had remembered. Their attention to detail and perfect customer service is second to none. We had a lovely time here. The auyervidic spa is something else.
The swimming pool is immense and beautiful, the grounds lovely and well kept, and the restaurant food is delicious.
Couldn't recommend is place more highly. I will be back and so will my family!
