“Worth the drive!!”
Reviewed March 19, 2010

We visited Daisy Lake State Park for 3 nights/4 days during Spring Break of 2010 with our two boys (2 and 5). The boys had plenty of rocks to toss into the lake and plenty of space to play around (including a playground). We were the only people in the primative tent capming area, but the drive up camping was pretty full. Camping spaces are close together, but the grounds were clean and included a pole, picnic table and fire ring. Oh, the clean showers and bathrooms with hot water...priceless.

It's an hour to Hot Springs (visit HSNP) and 30 minutes to Crater of Diamonds State Park...both worth the drive.

Great place down the road to rent canoes (which we did), but it's a dry county so bring your beer as it's 45 minutes to the nearst place to purchase alcohol (did that, too).

“Great Place, Awesome View, Nice Facilities”
Reviewed March 24, 2008

We went over spring break 2008 on a multi day camping trip in southwest Arkansas, to include the Crater of Diamonds and several Arkansas state parks. Daisy State park was BY FAR the most scenic and beautiful, peaceful, family-friendly park we had the pleasure to stay at. Wish we had stayed there the whole time. By the way, all of ARKANSAS STATE PARKS are absolutely well kept and gorgeous. (As opposed to National Parks - not even close!)

Also visited: Ouachita State Park - beautiful, but not as scenic as Daisy. Closer to Hot Springs though.

Lake Catherine State Park - OK, scenic view of power plant did not float my boat. Campsites closer together, older park and facilities not quite as nice. VERY close to Hot Springs.
