We visited Daisy Lake State Park for 3 nights/4 days during Spring Break of 2010 with our two boys (2 and 5). The boys had plenty of rocks to toss into the lake and plenty of space to play around (including a playground). We were the only people in the primative tent capming area, but the drive up camping was pretty full. Camping spaces are close together, but the grounds were clean and included a pole, picnic table and fire ring. Oh, the clean showers and bathrooms with hot water...priceless.
It's an hour to Hot Springs (visit HSNP) and 30 minutes to Crater of Diamonds State Park...both worth the drive.
Great place down the road to rent canoes (which we did), but it's a dry county so bring your beer as it's 45 minutes to the nearst place to purchase alcohol (did that, too).
