If you are looking for a nice and relaxing stay, definitely this is the place. With 3 nice jacuzzis directly on the rocks. The beach is nice and calm. Food is ok, try the three a la carte, We recommend the sea food one. This hotel is only 15 minutes away from Puerto Plata airport. The staff is very nice and hard working, they go out of their way to help you. We enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on Reef side are better.

This is a nice hotel, with nice beaches and good food, the pools are clean. Three a la carte restaurants with a very good selection, Mexican, Italian and Sea Scape for seafood. We are very satisfied with this place, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Will be back next year.

Room Tip: Please, request a pool or ocean view

My friend and i traveled to casa Marina in January 2012, this was my second time there , i guess you could say it kind of lost it,s glamour for for me. In all fairness i was told the resort had gone down hill a bit and should have been a little more prepared as in bring more pringles for food. After the first couple of day i finally was able to have my own ocean view room ,as they accidently gave mine away.at this point icomplained and felt guilty for complaining so much that i gave great tips,I got my ocean view room plus my tips covered asmall fridge. The food was fair and far from good. Just off the resort we found a little restaurant called rocky,s this is where we ate pretty much the rest of our trip, wings, ect... What made this holiday complete was a trip to see Bravissimo at Ocean World.Check outwww.oceanworld.net this was amazing!!!!!!

Room Tip: If you get an ocean view try not to get close to the pools the children are up early especialy on weekends when the locals are there. Also if you like a late night dip in thhe pool be aware the pools close here at 7pm.

From when we booked the holiday we went straight on here to look at the reviews from that moment on, we knew we had made a mistake but went feeling optimistic.

When arriving at the airport we had to pay to get into the country which was $10 then to fill out forms for the visa which was never asked to be seen. On our transfer to the hotel, i knew it was going to be terrible one word "Ghetto". Check in was fine, but the all inclusive bands were put on too tight, therefore you could not remove this when sleeping or showering.

Rooms - Basic, no tea making facilities, no fridge, when we asked about the fridge situation to our rep, all we got was "i will look into it" BUT the weekend locals who stayed at the hotel from fri-sun all were provided with fridges, which was a disgrace. The sheets on the bed were slightly stained and the lamp in the room was covered in mould. The maid never made an effort in making the room nice i.e - towel arrangements, flowers. All the 2 week we stayed here, we were only provided with 1 fresh bottled water all the holiday and had to use the water pump to fill the bottle up, which was disgusting as the water tasted like metal.

Food - VERY repetative, if you like chicken then great! The weekend locals who gatecrashed the hotel all weekend every weekend stole half of the food in their handbags, wrapped it in napkins and put everything from chicken, cheese, rice and biscuits in there. Make sure you book the a la carte restaurants on a weekend as there is no chance you will get fed otherwise. The seafood one is FANTASTIC.

The hotel doesnt provide parasols around the pool area and the parasols on the beach are $3 a day which is appauling. The bech is lovely, but there is no path on the beach and the sand is HOT even with flip flops on. There arnt many rest rooms around, 1 at the main buffet and 1 in Luigi's. At night the complex in poorly light and there arnt many seats to sit down at night. No entertainment EXCEPT spanish karaoke which no one could understand. The bar near the beach shuts at 11pm, so at 11pm when my partner went up to get our last drinks he was refused, but one of the locals came up to the bar and got served straight away! So a friend of ours questioned the bar tender about this and he decided he would give us all drinks. Also staff are moody, and drinks are watered down.

BEST PART - The hotel is full of prostitutes with old guys. This one guy who we saw a couple of times had a different girl every other night which i found disgusting. Its like the hotel encourages it, we went into town on one of the nights and sat outside a bar called "Rumba" it was like a red light district down there, women trying to get men left right and centre.

The best parts of our holiday were the company we met, the sunshine, jacquzzi, the pool was quite a relazing area when the locals wernt there, lovely sun trap! Also the seafood restaurant was really nice,

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!! Specially those with children.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms are terrible when the rain comes as the room nearly floods.
