“Good but expensive”
Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

The place was a bit dark, no music and some of the lanterns outside were broken, together with no candles on a few tables it was a bit dark. But we felt like a spicy dish so we sat down. The waiter was very welcoming and explained the menu.

We had the chicken dumplings as a starter, very tasty. All the right spices. Main course the shrimp with thay spices and dorade with almonds. Also very tasty and fresh, ginger, lemon grass, the right spices.

Could not resist the chocolate cake. All very good.

But the price is similar to an European restaurant, and that is a bit much for when you go out for dinner almost every night. We did not pick all inclusive, so you have to go out for dinner every night and this is a bit too much.

“Name is Deceiving”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We almost didn't stop, because we don't eat Sushi. Don't be fooled, there's more on the menu than that! We had a very relaxing, enjoyable meal on the beach. And this was one of the few restaurants we found that would accept a bank card, definitely a plus!

“Horribly Overrated”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Beautiful location, beautiful restaurant, and very welcoming staff. However the sushi was horrible for being so "fresh"! Ridiculously overpriced for a typical meal in Cabarete. I do not recommend, try Yamazato Sushi next to Gorditos. Much better and cheaper!

“The Best Sushi”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

I eat here when I am in Cabarete, the food is good, an it is a nice place, good service, clean. The prices are all over, from some things being reasonable to others being expensive, it all depends on what you want to eat.

“Try the Cevichy”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Four of us dined here the other night. We were attracted by the menu and decor, but what sold us was the conversation with the owner while we looked at the menu, friendly, knowledgable and honest about her menu. The cevichy was one of the best I've had, will be back again for that on its own. My beef tenderloin was superb and cooked blue rare to perfection (not an easy task). One other guest had the tuna; all she could do was rave about it and its asian focused flavouring.
All went away very pleased with our restaurant choice that night. The service was excellent and well paced, the owner was happy to share her opinion on the various dishes and the presentation was very good.
The meal was pricey for Caberete but, it was much less than I would pay at home for a meal of that quality.
