We stayed at the Holiay Inn Tuxtla for five days as we took tours to different parts of the state.
Although it is across the street from a shopping mall there wasn't a lot to see near by and not that much to see in Tuxtla for that matter. It is convenient to the airport and a nice jumping off points to places like San Critobal de las Casas or even Palenque if you have some time.
The hotel was about average. Not sure if it was due to the holidays but service was just so so. A phone was broken for two days before it was fixed, the ice machine didn't work, just little details that tend to add up although it was a fair value.More
