A local brought us here and Las Pichanchas lived up to the image our host put forth.

The variety, portions and prices of the food are all spot on. All the food and drink is authentic Chiapaneca cuisine ... so you can experience something new. The service was excellent.

They even had a very well done folkloric dance presentation of all the regional dances of Chiapas including the famous Para Chico dance derived from the traditional January festival in Chiapa de Corzo.

I recommend to go to Las Pichanchas in the evening only to feel atmosphere of this place. Even if dishes weren't the best i've ever eaten ( they weren't bad as well ) but this mexican atmosphere and typical chiapas show with dances and Marimba made it worth to go there. And of course i recommend Pulpo- drink with tequila and coconut :)

This place is great if you want to enjoy a cultural night. Never go for lunch, wait for dinner. Food is average, there are better places to enjoy a good meal. If you really want to eat Chiapas food go to a botanero bar, they are way much better
