Good and clean hotel, very good value in town, large car park/motobike for the one's coming by their own transport. Reception efficient and fluent in English, fast check in/check out, room are quite large, with all necessary equipment for your need, bathroom amenities well fitted. Mini bar with regular prices and refilled everyday. Room are clean and comfortable. Hotel has a lift, restaurant has nothing special, breakfast is alright, but morning staff is not really friendly, by the way they prefer to talk each others than take care of the guests.Evening, singer perform during dinner time and food is good and inexpensive.Large swimming pool as well massage available at the hotel ground floor.

Room Tip: higher floor better for view.

We arrived in Ranong after a 7 hour bus journey from Hua Hin, we had looked on trip advisor prior to leaving Hua Hin and had seen that this was the recommended hotel to stay so just got a taxi here in the hope that they had rooms.

Upon arrival we were given a welcome drink whilst we checked in.

The room we had was huge, plenty of room for all four of us, the staff arrived immediately with the additional bed we had requested.

The double bed was a good size and extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. The room was lovely and clean. There was a comfortable sofa in the room along with a small dining table and chairs and a work unit.

The hotel has free wifi which is available in the room.

The bathroom was the only let down with this hotel, it could do with an upgrade very soon as it is completely outdated, the shower curtain was mouldy and the sink unit was scrapped and has seen better days, however the towels were in good condition and there were plenty of them. The toiletries were of a nice quality.

We had room service, the food was very nice, but ordering was difficult as the staff didnt understand English, but we got nearly everything we had ordered!

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff were very pleasant.

The hotel offers massages from midday until midnight.

Very nice hotel. We stayed 2 nights to take care of our visa border run. Great pool, most comfortable bed in Thailand, and delicious breakfast. The restaurant food lacked a bit but the Beer Garden food was delish! Highly recommend! This is NOT walking distance to the pier for immigration/visa run but the hotel will bus you over for a small fee.

Room Tip: 6th floor is very quiet aside from the occasional person talking in the hall.

WE rented a car [our tip is to make it a BIG 4 x 4 even if there's only 2 people as the road up is full of HUGE holes] and drove from Koh Samui - don't be fooled the trip from the ferry at Don Sack is 5 hours + stops!

Rates as a 2/3 star hotel and at suites around Aud $50 we consider it to be good value.

We looked around the town and came to the conclusion that the restaurant was also the best available in town.

All the best dishes are traditional Thai of a good standard [they do have hamburgers etc]

One of the best features and not promoted is the in house thermal hot spas, apparently people come from Bangkok just for them.

Don't expect too much from Ranong as a town - its not set up for tourists - the biggest attraction is that its close to Burma for a Visa run - now that's another story,Oh yes!

Also consider the Casio on an Island in the river - check out the reviews first

Good luck :)

Room Tip: Ask for a high room, possible the 5th floor and away from the HUGE Jet sounding kitchen vent. Free WiFi that works 90% of the time Free breky - not a lavish affair, but enough. Small old TV's with about 2 English channels Hey,if your reading this you must have a reason to go so this is a good as it gets.
