“Good food, but tick infested”

We ate here three times. The waiter is sullen and you get the feeling he'd rather read a book than serve anyone. The menu is expansive and the fried tofu salad with cashews and Thai dressing was delicious. Great drinks. But don't try to order brown rice or bananas flambé even though both are on the menu ("we never have that"). Even though the waiter is grouchy, he speaks English well and gets your orders right. But 2 of the 3 times we were here, we saw ticks, one crawling on my arm and the other on my menu. They have 2 mangy dogs and a cat who sit in the restaurant and encourage tick reproduction. So it's slightly unsettling, but the food is good and ambiance is nice. Give it a try.

Atmosphere was very pleasant and warm. The foods taste good. The waiter was unfriendly and not giving any advise about food; we end up had same curry dishes. The "tea leaf" salad is a must. Ignore the waiter; just enjoy the food and cold drink.
We do hope that the owner read our comment and improve the service. It will give a change to the mood.

Good place for dinner in a room highly reminiscent of the 70's in atmosphere. Live music a couple of times a week. Run by Burmese refugees. A favourite of NGO workers in town.

Been there twice. Both times they were out if the first three things I tried to order, and both times they seemed to be irritated with me for asking for those things. If you can handle the bad service and lack of availability, the food is good and the atmosphere is nice.

The service here is not good... it is true that the staff are sullen and a bit unwelcoming. But don't come here for that.. come here for the amazing food! You can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu and trust that it will be delicious - we didn't have one mediocre meal. Especially the tea leaf salad, which we already miss.
