We had a wonderful time at Anantara. The service was exemplary. The staff discovered that it was my partner's birthday and they brought her a cake to celebrate it, and everyone (and I mean everyone, from the receptionist to the bellboy) knew! I was very touched.

Its very beautiful in this part of Thailand. Very lush and green. There is not that much to do, but I enjoyed walking in the hills and catching sight of the odd elephant going about his business. Its cool to be attached to an Elephant Camp.

This resort is simply superb. The service was AMAZING right from the moment we were picked up at the airport. The staff could not have been better. All of them. Particular praise for Doi for her welcome and attentiveness throughout and Wichit for his market tour and cooking class. The attention to detail and standard of service is impeccable. Beautiful resort, fantastic activities, and the elephants! You HAVE to come and see for yourself.

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms are amazing but ask for a suite on the second floor for that extra special wow factor. The views are just incredible.

Heaven is a place in Northern Thailand. We just loved it here. They make you feel so so special. We arrived in style: by longtail boat along the Golden Triangle and on the back of an elephant to the lobby of the hotel. They have a movie on Youtube showing this, check it out! What an event! Mrs. Tuk at check in is amazing. The best check in we had ever! She's friendly and really concerned about you and your happiness. A big thank you to her.
The service is excellent through out the resort. We had a beautiful standard room with stunning views of the pool - and what a pool it is - and the resor (jungle).
Of course you get the elephants: a breakfast, feeding the babies, going for a ride and a swim after a short mahout training. This is just an amazing experience and we will never forget it. We will recommend it to all our friends visiting Thailand. Great with kids too as they get even more extra attention and they love the elephants too of course. I can imagine this must be almost a fairytale for kids. Anantara Golden Triangle we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this an experience of a lifetime.

Stayed here for 4 days 3 nights and experienced the best service I had come across, having stayed in Aman, Four Seasons, Banyan Tree and W hotels. They epitomizes the 5 star service all hotel should strive to achieve. The staff are all well trained and very friendly. They know us by name. Always smiling and asking what we did for the day. Tuk was amazing in organizing the whole stay. She knows our itinerary very well and always keen to make out stay perfect. Other staff deserving compliments include Chef Paitoon who would greet us at the desk every morning and offer to cook us any special requests with have. When I was sick, Chef Paitoon And Wichien arranged for specially cooked vegetable soup and porridge to be sent to my suite. The restaurant staff asked me whether I am getting better everytime they see me daily. I'm really touched by their concerns. Harry from the bar is also a very good entertainer with his magic tricks.
The resort is stunning and huge up on the hill overlooking the golden triangle. The Anantara suite is huge and comfortable. The pool with its infinity pool is heavenly. The Italian restaurant has a nice decor with deliciously made Italian dishes.
The elephant mahout training experience is one of a lifetime experience not to be missed. The golden triangle private tour is well organized and interesting. Visit to the opium museum is a must!
The only area of improvement would be the gym that looks rather dated and quite far from the main building especially on a wet day.

Having stayed in this resort as part of a Thailand private tour, our welcome was up there with one of the best we have received anywhere in the world ... from the moment we arrived, all staff seemed to know us, greeted us warmly by name, were familiar with our itinerary (across three areas of Thailand visited), explained all housekeeping matters in detail with the kindest of smiles, ensured our every moment was perfect and catered for, discreetly ensuring nothing was ever wanted for.

Our programme of events during our stay was never made to feel organised, merely available when we were ready ... the elephant experience was incredible with the lovely Mahout explaining and demonstrating all, to then allow us ride and bath these gentle creatures in a stunning setting ... (clearly the dear animals loved and cared for here). A visit to the adjacent Opium Museum and tour of the Golden Triangle were incredibly informative, unrushed and again, truly memorable experiences. The Spa was relaxing, calming and utter bliss .....

We ate at the Thai restaurant each evening (though Italian available) as the menu offered an abundance of choice - having sampled many dishes, absolutely all were probably the best Thai food we ate during our visit to this incredible country ... served, again, by waiting staff providing such unassumingly outstanding service.

Would we return here - without a doubt .... Paradise in the jungle .... May they never change this perfect destination or team of incredible staff .... Our heartfelt compliments to all.

Room Tip: We stayed in a fantastic 'three countries view room' and it was stunning ...
