This is a huge resort with tons of rooms situated in different buildings that are all linked. We stayed in a little family 'suite' with a queen bed in a bedroom, a queen bed in the living room and a little kitchenette/dining area. It was clean, very spacious and adequate for a night's stopover. Great views of the surrounding mountains - one could sit on the balcony and not move for hours! It is situated opposite a popular hotsprings water park/spa where we spent quite a few highly enjoyable hours soaking in the many warm pools and hotsprings.

The buffet breakfast here is fantastic! A few regular Western options (sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, cereal etc) and a lot of excellent Korean dishes.

Overall, an enjoyable stay in a nice picturesque location!

This is actually the first time I've been to South Korea and staying in Hanwha Resort even just for an overnight stay was the best. I really love their rooms and the view outside. Breakfast was festive and the staff were helpful and nice. There is a Starbucks on the lower ground just on your right upon coming in and the hotel is huge, clean and perfect to relax from the hustle and busy city life. Love to go back soon.

We stayed in the new Hanwha Resort wing. It was quite quiet when we stayed recently perhaps it cater more to Summer vacation goers. The buildings are connected and long. Breakfast at building/section 6, so if you are at the other end, can be quite a walk. There is also a big convenient store (CU). Every other facilities (spa, pool) is payable. You need a car to go there and also around the area.

I like to open my balcony door a little for some fresh air but it was noisy especially at night when it's near the fountain (main entrance to hotel). The heating facilities does not seems to work in the room. Room was big for 2. The place did not feel cosy or warm (feeling) in general, could be just a personal opinion.

Balcony comes with laundry stand, could be useful if you stay a couple of days. But probably is better to dry indoor as the air was drier in the room. My shirt stayed as wet overnight due to high humidity outdoor.

The resort is not a place to stay indoor, attractions were generally around 15-20 min drive radius. There is a water park in front of the resort which I was told only open in summer.

Breakfast gets crowded around 8am, so plan to do early at 7:30 or late at 9am if you do not want to fight with tour groups. Quality of food is good and quite a few vegetarian diet options.

Room tip: Rooms facing the back seems better and quieter

Our suite has two bed rooms (sort of) and an open kitchenette space in the middle. The second bedroom is just an empty space with no bed or furniture. However, tatami and bedding supplies are provided in the closet. Since only me and wife are travelling, we did not need to use the second bedroom. The kitchenette is very basic with only one cook top and a fridge. I guess they do not expect you to do much cooking here although utensiles are also provided.

The bathroom supplies were also very basic, too basic. They do not even supply bath towels.

Overall, not much positive to write about this so called resort. I would not stay here if we were not in tour. BTW, English is not popular here at all. I had a hard time to operate the air conditioning unit as there is no English instruction at all.
