“Located Uphill”

Malasag Eco-Tourism Village and Gardens
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Located uphill, far from the hi-way. Don't know if there is a public transportation going to this place. In our case, we just asked a relative to bring us here. What I like here is the hanging bridge but you have to pay minimal fee aside from what you'll have to pay in the main entrance. There is a pool here. Though, I don't know if that is for exclusive use of their in-house guests.

Went with a friend to see what eco-tourisn means in Southern Philippines, expecting to be disappointed sorely. But no, the only uncool thing was that it was raining too much to really get around and see the whole thing. I would go back there and try again.

We had a group retreat at Malasag Gardens and were very pleased with it. the people were extremely helpful as we set everything up. The cost was significantly less than a local hotel medium grade hotel venue. The food was excellent as was the service.
The rooms we stayed in were across from the meeting room we used (open air). The rooms were very basic, with an amazing view from the balconies. the surrounding were lovely and it was nice and quiet.
I would not mind going there just for a little vacation.

Beautiful views and relaxing place after spending time in the city. Did not stay overnight but the newer cottages look nice and the price is good if you don't mind not having modern conveniences. Hanging bridge was closed but it wasn't much anyway. Small little zoo area was not much to see but the views are well worth the visit. Ate lunch at the restaurant there and it was good. I would recommend it. Had taxi take all the way up there for extra 50 pesos and habal-habal back which the guard at the entrance provided phone number.

the place is indeed amazing! only we did not enjoy that much because we were afraid to explore the place at our own risk. we asked for a guide but no one came. the monkey bridge was also close. so we just took picture assuming we had experienced walking on that bridge, hahaha!
