Miami Inn
Ranked #11 of 31 Hotels in Cagayan de Oro
Reviewed February 16, 2013

Miami Inn is a good deal on a safe hotel with lots of extras in a questionable area. We arrived at night and the security guard came out immediately to meet our taxi and help with our bags. We were up early the next morning to go rafting and thrilled that free breakfast starts at 7am. The little cafe/restaurant on the ground floor is open from like 8am-10pm. The food is good and reasonably priced. They'll even deliver it up to your room for you.

In the afternoon, we tried to walk around and see what, if anything, was nearby. Just busy roads and lots of gawkers if you happen to be foreign. So we just went back to the room, grateful for the free wifi and cable TV. After a hard day's activities, we opted to order in dinner. Phone books are in each room, so we found lots of food options in the yellow pages. You can dial out from the room, too, at 5pesos/minute.

There's a laundry service that you can send away and have it back the next day. One of the tailoring shops all across the street fixed my bag's busted zipper for next to nothing (after negotiation).

Front desk was very helpful. On our second day, the reception girls found the number for us to call Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon and told us how to get there. (It's quite a journey, but worth it.)

When our flight was delayed on the last day, I noticed the shooting range flier at the front desk. The girl called for me and made us an appointment for as soon as we could get a taxi over there. They put our bags in the luggage room while we went off shooting targets for a couple of hours.

Overall, good hotel with good services and a decent price.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room away from the busy main road.

Stayed there for 3 days, walk in did not made any reservation. Read some reviews of the hotel so asked to see rooms before booking. They showed me two rooms (standard and deluxe no difference just slightly more walking space) on the 2nd floor near to the main road. Definitely noisy , ask for less noisy part of the hotel, showed me 3rd floor opposite end it is quieter at this corner. Forgot to check aircon, remembered after check-in. Oh boy aircon is worse than the traffic noise it goes goongooongooon when on full blast inform the reception send somebody to check either he is deaf or he can't feel the vibration he say nothing wrong aircon is ok. The vibration is due to the compressor outside. But the staffs are friendly and the place is convenient and if I leave aircon at low doesn't vibrate so bad and on the TV louder I survived 3 nights hehehe.

Room Tip: Don't forget to check aircon noise the hotel no lift so unless you are prepared to climb up the...

Low price, but good service. Your Php1,200 a night includes breakfast. Nice rooms. With wifi and cable TV.

We stayed overnight on our way back to Manila after a vacation in Camiguin Island. It's only about 30 minutes drive to the airport and new the famous Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro version.

Highly recommended to travelers on budget.

Good that it's not peak season, we were accommodated without reservation. We stopped by CDO on our way to Camiguin. This hotel just surprised me. For Php1000, you get a room for two, big enough. The comfort room is big enough as well. Everything works well. The best part is free breakfast for two! You get a full meal with coffee.
We also tried one of their specialties--pork steak and it's really good.
The staff are kind, friendly and courteous.

We stayed in this hotel after our day trip to Iligan. I suggested to my group to try Miami Inn which I checked in the internet before our trip. The place was located downtown with many public transpo available. One ride away from limket kai, divisoria or SM uptown. The hotel is relatively new and has nice rooms for a good night sleep. When you enter the room it is surprisingly quiet and comforting even if the hotel is located in a busy street (Carmen area). Comfort rooms are clean with small shower areas. The staffs are accomodating, however, I suggest that you need to learn some vernacular language for them to understand you completely. Complimentary breakfast is available. Hot and cold showers are also available.
I enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel!

The first time we stayed in this hotel was great. We did not know that it was just about two days that they started the business. We really don't any idea about it as we are just looking for a place to laid on after a long day.

Room smells good. Hot water is working. I had a sound sleep. At the rate of Php 900.00 with a free breakfast, it was really amazing! But on our second time, the experience was not that good. We checked in early evening and wanted to dine out with some friends. As we are about to commute, we saw the guard making some reservation of that small space in the parking area.So we ask if we can do the same while we take our dinner at a nearby resto. When we got back, the parking space was already full. Worst, the management offered us to park in an unsecured place.

So we packed up and transferred to other hotel. We got the refund with no extra charge.

I stayed this hotel 3 nights last November,.i would love to stay longer but hotel was fully booked reason weekend big conference in the city. Room was really fine,..with minibar and silent aircon. Breakfast included also and hotel smells good and places so clean.

Receptionists,..2 so different kind of ones,..that smiling helpful and friendly young woman has made her best decision when applyed work to the front desk. Absolutely the best customer service i ever got,.and lol,..if she`s still single defenately top of gf. material:)

Another. i tried so much smile,..talk to her,..but no responce. Maybe she was still shy with a foreingner alike me and still on the beginning of her working carreer?

Nice hotel not far away Divisoria,.if you dont need balcany and pool,..try it:)
