It's the most photographed pic with Mt
Mayon on the background. There are people there that you can lend your phone to take silly pictures of you for just tips.

Nice place to buy pasalubong at try the flavored sili ice cream (tried choco flavor level 3 - maybe I should have gotten level 2 ... but it's ok)

I am a Bicolana, from Camarines Norte so whenever we visit our hometown, I always tell my mom to go to Mt. Mayon. 32 years later, I was able to see Mayon not with my family but with my well-traveled friends. I remember during school days that whenever we discuss history & culture, everyone should share the best place or culture from your province, not exactly in our hometown but I'm always proud to share that I'm a Bicolana & we have Mt. Mayon. The first time I saw Mt. Mayon sent me chills. I also tried the Chili Ice cream Level 1 chocolate flavour outside.

Remember to eat like a local...

The park was amazing! The last time I’ve visited it was in 2000, back then you don’t have to pay an entrance fee or a parking fee. Somehow everything now in Bicol is governed by money! They will charge you more especially if you are a “ balikbayan” or your husband is a foreigner! A mentality that should be removed from the Filipino culture.... if you visit Singapore, you will be treated like the locals! There are no money grabbing people in there, that’s why the country is so advanced and tourists wouldn’t mind to hire a taxi because they are honest! Here in England, the prices are the same whether you are a tourist, local or member of the Royal Family! Hope one day it will change in the Philippines...
