“Also a good place to buy for pasalubong”

You won't see Mayon on a rainy day but there were some guides who will recommend nice photo shots around the ruins.

This is also a good place to buy pasalubong/souvenirs if your time is limited. I regretted not buying a nice bag I saw in this area thinking there will be similar items in other souvenir shops in the city but it was not present in other shops.

Thank Ellen I

Great view of the Mayon Volcano. The park is small but very reasonably priced. There are several gift shops to visit after you have seen the sites. The shops offer shirts, magnets, key chains and other items.

Interesting to know that the church were destroyed during the eruption of Mayon Volcano and the only remnant is its belfry. But the best attraction is the excellent view of Mayon from the back of the tower. Best time to be on that place is in the morning with no clouds to see the perfect cone view of the Mayon. Though the place is commercialized with lots of souvenir shops, you can still enjoy the view and the history of the church tower.

Perfect photo ops when Mayon is in view without the clouds. Best to come here early as it can become crowded later during the day.

Outside the ruins are souvenir shops, ATV rentals and a small gallery.

Cagsawa ruins are the ruins of a church complex which was destroyed by Mayon volcano's eruption. IMO, the only reason to visit is to see what a volcano can do. You can see the volcano is so far, still the place was buried in volcanic ash before it was cleaned up. It's hard to imagine how much lava oozed out of the volcano. The burnt trees give you a feel of what happened in the eruption.

A good place to get some selfies and souvenirs as well. Can spend 30mins - 1 hr. It's easily accessible.
