Cagsawa ruins are the ruins of a church complex which was destroyed by Mayon volcano's eruption. IMO, the only reason to visit is to see what a volcano can do. You can see the volcano is so far, still the place was buried in volcanic ash before it was cleaned up. It's hard to imagine how much lava oozed out of the volcano. The burnt trees give you a feel of what happened in the eruption.

A good place to get some selfies and souvenirs as well. Can spend 30mins - 1 hr. It's easily accessible.

Since is really easy to get there I would miss it. You need ti pay just 8 pesos for a jeepney and then walk just a little.
Inside there is great views to the volcano and the ruins of what it used to be a town before the volcano took over it.

There is some souvenir shops, and an special food. CHILI ICECREAM! Do not miss it it´s worth a try.

With an entrance of P20 for adults and P10 for kids, ive realized my childhood dream destination (at last... Lol)

Its just nice to see the ruins in real life as i only saw it in postcards or in 100 peso bill. The best time to go there was probably early morning because the clouds were already into the precious Mt.Mayon as we arrived around 10am.

You could strike a poss anywhere to satisfy your craziness and eat at the canteens after as the place offers hearty merienda for a minimal amount.

Shoppaholics will also love the tiangge outside as it offers variety of items for pasalubong

Adventurous ones will also like the ATV Adventures that the local offers but dont forget to haggle because we got ours at only P250 (but that was the shortest course...lol)

Dont forget to include this place in your IT when you visit Bicol because your trip will not be worthy without it (lol)

That famous postcard shot of Legazpi with the ruined bell tower and Mt. Mayon is taken here!

Even if you're not into photography, it still overall makes a nice afternoon spot to picnic and to people watch!

Nothing really much to see. The place could be a good spot to have picture taking but some local tourist just don't have proper manners. It's best to visit this place early in the morning (6 - 7 am) or late in the afternoon (beyond 5 pm).
