While in Legaspi, aside from seeing Mayon Volcano, passing the Cagsawa Ruins is a must. Your research in history will show you that the main church was buried in Lava and molten rocks as Mayon Volcano erupted in Feb 1814.
There is a small fee of P10 per head to enter the park. It is clean and you get fresh park air. You get to take pictures of the belfry with Mayon Volcano as a back drop. There are lots of small stalls around selling souvenirs and food stuff. If you find something you like, it will be cheaper here than in the city and at the airport. Pili nuts have more varieties, taste better, and are cheaper here.
Take in the atmosphere, take your time (1 hour is more than enough time), and take a lot of pictures.

Good place to go and visit. You will need one to two hours max to spend overthere.
From Legazpi city, you can take a Jeepney for 8 pesos, then walk 5 min to get to the entrance of the site. (no need to pay 100 pesos on a tricycle).
There is a 10 pesos entry fee to the site.

An interesting experience to see a half submerged bell tower of an old church buried in lave from the Mayon eruption. After seeing the pictures of the ruins during my elementary days, i finally saw what I had read about.

Place is nice and clean, you can have a perfect view of Mayon. Though it was really cloudy the time we went there and we can't see a perfect Mayon we still enjoyed taking pictures in the area. The Cagsawa Ruins is really magnificent and breath taking
