“Perfect Cone, nothing more..nothing less”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Years before this Volcano is considered to be the almost poerfect cone shaped active volcano in the philippines. But of course, due to nature, erosion do happens and some parts of the soil in the left side of the Volcano, do erodes which make it a bit "deformed" from afar.

nevertheless, It is worth visiting. They say you are lucky if you can see the peak of the volcano. usually the clouds hide the tip. Mayon Volcano is derived from Bicol word daragang Magayon, which means Beautiful Lady.

“Majestic - worth the trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

I was lucky - and had my first glimpse of the volcano while landing itself (sit on the left side). Later I spent five hours watching her across the fields from the Cagsawa ruins. The sights at the latter are as picturesque as the photos.

The volcano tends to get covered with clouds from 11 am to 4 pm - it is usually free of clouds early morning and before sunset. Plan your visit to Cagsawa accordingly

“Simply Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

If your in a land trip you can say your in Albay if you can already view the Mayon Volacano. Its triangular shape is perfect and even it scares me seeing the smoke coming out from the volcano it adds beauty to the volcano.

“Amazing sight!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

When we visited Legaspi, there was some overcast and most parts of the trip, we couldn't see the entirety of the cone. on our last day, there was a moment there when it took a peak and it was magnificent! Had a few good shots of it. The best was when we were on the plane headed back to Manila. The pilot circled around it and I got a few nice shots. Would be nice to come back and bring my kids to view this attraction. It would be interesting too to try out the trekking or off road vehicle through the side of the volcano.
