Stayed for one night for wedding anniversary. Stayed in Oxford Suite which is a great spacious room, with huge bathroom and fantastic huge balcony overlooking the lake - great for the welcome wine and cheese. The staff are great and the whole place has a nice ambience . Only complaints is bed wasnt so comfortable(especially pillows!) and its a bit overpriced which would put us off staying there again.

Room Tip: Can highly recommend the Oxford Suite.

Dear alena&steve:

Thank you for your post.

We are glad that you have taken the time to tell us about your experience.

We will review our selection of pillows, and study offering a wider selection of options as special request.

We hope that you will return to our Bed & Breakfast soon. Our weekday rates in particular offer incredible value, compared to weekends and holidays.

Regards,

The minute we walked in, time slowed down for us. We loved this place, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks. Very different than Manila and worth to trip for sure if you find yourself in Philippines!
Having your morning coffee overlooking a volcano was an incredible experience. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable; equipped to the smallest detail.
The staff is extremely helpful in arranging trips to the casino (10 or 15 min away), local restaurants or spas. I had the most amazing spa day at Nature's Spa which is located about 10 minutes away from this hotel and at a VERY reasonable price! aahhhh

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the volcano.

I'm an Expat from Manila and we frequently enjoy going to Tagaytay for an overnight stay to get out of town and enjoy a bit of cooler weather. The Discovery Country Suites is conveniently located in Tagaytay and is easy to get to however it can be difficult getting a reservation as they only have seven rooms.

Upon our arrival we found the place to have a comfortable, homey feel, and the staff was great. The place has a very small pool in the garden however it's probably more like a giant hot tub than a pool but great for kids. It appears that of their seven rooms only two of them have balcony's with a view of the lake. Our room was downstairs on the garden so that was our only view, which was still better than looking at another building etc.

Our room was really spacious and was clean and well appointed however it wasn't anything special. The regular rooms also have king size beds and also have daybeds, which make it ideal if you have a couple of small children as everyone can comfortably stay in one room. And it seems that most of the people staying there had their children in tow so there were a lot of kids about.

The hotel offers a complimentary wine and cheese tasting for guests between 5pm and 6pm which was quite nice and there's a nice view of the lake from the outer dining area but you had better get there early to get a decent seat with a good view. The food at the restaurant was very good and is worth stopping by for dinner even if you're not staying at the hotel. Breakfast is early and ends at 9:30am and you order off of the menu however with the exception of the Belgium Waffles (decidedly not good), they have some great offerings on their breakfast menu.

While there were some things that we very much enjoyed about the place, which included the service and food, I would have to say that the place is a bit over priced unless you can manage to book one of the rooms with a balcony and a view.

Room Tip: Try to book the Nantucket or Oxford rooms as they both have balcony's and views of the lake. The Oxford is most expensive however the Nantucket room is regularly priced. Further, the rates are higher on the weekend so weekdays are the best as deals are available on weekdays.

The rooms were well equipped and the staff friendly. The only drawback was that one night we had loud knocking noises apparently from the plumbing which kept us awake half the night. Otherwise the place could not be faulted.
