I have been to Tagatay many times but have never visited the Puzzle Mansion. Saw a progarm on TV last year and the curiousity gets the better of me. The journey from our hotel to the Puzzle Mansion was very exciting as I being a foreigner have to direct the pedicab driver with the help of the signages along the journey. The signages are a great help as the place is not easy to locate. We eventually made it to this place. If you are into puzzles, you will love this place. I am not a puzzle person but I appreciate the achievement of this woman! There are 1029 puzzles on display. I like those building puzzles like the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower and the piece that was made up of 18,000 pieces! The entrance fee of php100/- was a bit expensive though.

I liked puzzles since I was 25 years old.. This is a must see place for puzzle enthusiasts. The owner is a well travelled businesswoman who collects puzzles as souvenirs from the places. With these hundreds of puzzles, we will know that this old lady has quite a lot of patience and perseverance..

There are two ways to get there but the easier one is via the road leading to Antonio’s. Signs are prominent along the main road of Tagaytay so you will not get lost. The entrance though to the venue is a steep descending road so if you are not sure your vehicle will be able to come up again, get down and take a short walk instead. The gallery is full of different kinds of puzzles: boards, wood, 3Ds, etc. And with designs ranging from the religious, to cartoons, to architectures, to famous paintings and the like. You will marvel at the patience and diligence of the person who assembled all the puzzles on display. It is so deserving of its record in the Guinness Book. Take the time to tour around the gallery and be amazed and amused. Entrance is P100 per person. The staff are also very helpful.

It was all a hype, when I reviewed the blogs. There's nothing much to see, and I might say there's a bigger and more considerable area focused on selling souvenir products-- which aren't really a gem. So no-- if you want to entertain your kids, better check in at Hotel Kimberly in Tagaytay. They have fun activities there.

Over 1,000 puzzles on display - different sizes, shapes, forms (even 3D), colors and themes! Largest collection in the world and they have the Guinness certification to prove it - beating the previous world record holder in Norway (I think) who had 250+ puzzles.

I thought the 18,000 pc. puzzle on display was quite amazing... until I saw the 32,000 pc. project which the puzzle lady (a 61-yr. old retired businesswoman) was currently working on. (She said she already assembled 20,000 pcs. and hopes to finish it in 1-2 months.) A testament to incredible patience, focus and determination.

Place is easy to get to once you reach Tagaytay (just follow the road signs). You will need to go through narrow and steep side roads but not to worry. The roads are well-paved and you do not need a 4-wheel drive SUV to get there.

For those interested, there is a store on the 2nd floor where you can buy your own puzzles to make. They order and bring in stock regularly from overseas. Not cheap (e.g. P3,000 for a 2,000 pc. puzzle) but the variety of choices is much better than what you can find in a local bookstore or toy store.

An interesting side trip after a good lunch... worth the P100 per person entrance fee.
